Hi Debra! Welcome to my channel. I visited your state several years ago for a conference and I absolutely loved it. I hope to visit again when its not during the summer months. It was VERY hot when I visited. Thank you for watching my video and subscribing. It means a lot. I am so glad that these resources will be helpful for your students. Which grades do you teach?
@@TheLanguageLady okay so far. Always looking for ways to improve. I teach English, science to second grade and history to 5th. These ideas will help a lot to motivate. We have been having online classes since March 17. Many of the children are fine but some are finally caving in to their emotions. I will be taking a look at more of your videos, thanks so much!
Hi Pamela! Welcome to the Language Lady community! Thank you so much for watching my videos. If there is content you want to see in the future, please let me know. What age group do you teach?
Is it right to allow students to choose which team they prefer to be on, or is it the teacher responsibility to choose which team each student should be on?
I think a balance of both. To create buy in, I let students pick with the understanding that at times I communicate with them that I would like to see them work with different assigned partners (linguistic, academic, etc.)
Hello! Thank you for watching. Look above in the description section (below the video in the desscription section or the black section if you are on your phone) and you will see a link to all the games.
I mean in game time or activity time? I have had some problems with kids refused to be on a team selected by me, rather they want to be on the same team as their friends. What’s your advice on this problem.
I let them be on the team with their friends. When you work with them, over time they are more likely to go out of their comfort zone. Then move into rewarding them for trying to work with a different partner.
