Your videos are so beautiful. I love hearing your calming voice. This channel is something I would have loved when my kids were little. But I still find so much value in it now , so thank you. I have two boys they are 22 and 17. I was thinking of what you said about toys being all over the floor. And you are right , now with older children. I miss those playful moments. I’ve realised I can’t even remember them too much, which is really sad, I wish I had spent more time really trying to take in those times. I do have photos and videos of those times that bring back some of those memories which is so lovely. The era of life I am in, I wouldn’t want to do it again. But looking back I loved being a mum overall. Some advice I have is, just like you said, Recognise that you won’t always have these childhood toys around and one day you will miss them. But also, because toys can become a bit overwhelming, I always found it really helpful to keep toys to the children’s bedrooms. And we would only bring into the living room the toys that were actually being played with. This not only helped with not having too much mess around, but the children actually played with their toys rather than just having them all scattered over the living room . we would also have toys on rotation. So my biggest advice is slow down , savour the times when your children are playing because it goes so fast. And for many reasons, keep your children’s toys to their bedrooms and not in the rest of the house apart from when they are actually using a toy . And then get in the habit of putting them back before bringing another toy out. Xx
