    What is needed is a tank that can wade ashore over reefs and sand bars but be primarily a land based fighting vehicle. Then it needs a troop carrier that can do the same... it is stupid to make the troop carrier smaller or weaker than the tank. The troop carrier should be as big and armoured as the tank, with infantry support weapons.
    Landing craft need to deliver both vehicles to a drop of point that they can operate from...
    The mix of tanks and support vehicles needs to be tailored to the mission.... the design of both the armoured vehicles and the landing craft needs to open up potential landing points to ensure landings are not predictable and easily defended...

      @Hua Sheng Tang He may be making the same mistake they made in the 60's, thinking bombs, missiles and aircraft can do everything and you don't need boots on the ground.
