Damn right. Most of my hunts are in LS, I love how it plays and how flashy it can get, but the Lance is underratedly a beast. I made a frostcraft frostfang lance and I'm clearing MR Tempered Teostra faster than I ever could with my LS. Unbelievable
Lance probably does have the lowest DPS against a down/stationary target, but personally I get faster times with lance than other weapons vs almost every monster because of the much higher uptime I get with it, and have more fun because I can stay aggressive 100% of the time
i tried lance in mhw and feels so hard to use. and then i tried lance in mh4u and it hooked me, with how much more fluid the monster moves in iceborne, i guess thats why i dont like lance very much, its just very hard to hit the same weak spot with your tiny stick and hitbox constantly unlike in older gen, but you executed it amazingly here
Keep coming back to this video to try and get my own run down. I'm consistently getting killed by the frozen ground breath attack. Seems like the best way to counter it is to just flinch him every single time he's about to do it lmao
They do different things. Guard up allows you to block unblockable moves, while offensive guard increases your damage after you land a guard point (blocking at the last moment before an attack)
Nice. I haven't fought AT Velkhana yet Right now I'm using Safi's poison lance with Master's Touch, Criteye 7, Peak Performance 3, WE 3, CB 3 and for now my numbers are close to 110 sometimes even more per poke. I really love lance but sometimes I think it is a hard to make useful weapon...

How do you clutch claw after attacking?
On Ps4 controls, you hold L2, press R3 and the Circle to Clutch Claw onto the monster.
