The original concept of Supermans black suit was introduced in 1993 from a novel called the return of Superman. This was after he had died from a battle with an abomination named doomsday from his home planet krypton. When he was regenerated by the fortress of solitudes artificial intelligence he did not have his powers like flight, and his strength was allso reduced. He had to fight clones of himself and other Aliens so he was forced to use Kryptonian weapons to combat them and defend Earth. The black suit was called the regeneration suit given to him by his artificial intelligence. Almost like scrubs in a hospital bed yet his suit captured the rays of the sun which he needed to obtain a faster recovery as his powers are directly sourced from solar energy. I'm really glad you enjoyed 🙂🙏 luckily I had an extra cloth cape from an older Superman figure so I used it as fodder and cut it out of it. After that I applied super glue to the Emblem and attached it to the back of the plastic cape. I have found that using those methods fuses the material to the rubber in a way where it becomes hardened and seamlessly binds to it.
For the solar suit I used the gold label vampire Superman. His trunks are taken from the captain Adam figure but I custom painted those. Thanks for comment friend. I appreciate it and glad you enjoyed 😊🙏
