    Great content - thank you! I appreciated the section on brainstorming similar ideas for different niches, like music or dog grooming, etc. If you ever have time, do this for travel! I'm starting new and focusing on travel and I get hung up on how to present an idea (i.e. a destination) in a unique way. Like - I love travel, but even I don't want to watch other people's vacation videos. Nor do I want to just shoot that type of video. So much travel content is just a creator's face with a single word destination behind them while they stare at a sunrise, and I think that type of thumbnail and even trip is going to fade in popularity. I think exactly what you're describing in terms of more interesting thumbnails and concepts needs to invade that space and would love to hear your thoughts. Again - IF you ever have time! Just a random video idea. Thanks again for this great video!

      No, it’s just another chance for them to make money for commercial revenue

    • @Ty_Myers
      @Ty_Myers 8 дней назад

      I think it's the subject but I also think it's the style of video, the more raw, less edited, more authentic and I really think people who are looking to get started on RUclips want to hear from others who only just started a little bit ahead of them (vs watching the gurus who have courses and frameworks and been on YT for 5+ years).
      Channels/Videos like this are more relatable and I think people are gravitating towards that. That's just my 2 cents though.

    • @livinginoklahomacityofficial
      @livinginoklahomacityofficial 8 дней назад

      @Ty_Myers respectfully, that's just not reality. Do some/lots of people crave and want more "authentic" content? Sure. But that's not what's making "small youtubers get monetized in 30 days" or what makes "youtube on easy mode". In every one of these videos talking about the above quoted cliches/trending topics, they are all trying to claim its "authenticity" that's making youtube/the "algorithm" favor their content, but the through line is that they are ALL TALKING ABOUT RUclips "STRATEGY". THAT is why these small channels are getting views/impressions. Not because youtube cares if they are small or not, or "authentic" or not. And that's why the moment ANY of these creators makes a video NOT about youtube strategy (that they're essentially cosplaying to understand), the views tank. People click on these videos and watch, because they are aspiring youtubers who simply don't know any better, and unfortunately they are 99/100 times being given objectively bad advice that doesn't apply to their channel unless.... wait for it.... they are teaching "youtube strategy."
      This honestly really bothers me, because I think that it leads to more youtubers failing than it helps. Because they're gonna get out there and make content on whatever niche they're making, with no real tangible/actionable advice, and since they aren't teaching "YT strategy", they're gonna average 25 views per video and end up quitting. Because nobody told them that's actually how it works in the beginning. Ya know, the truth. And nobody is telling them ACTUAL insights that will allow them to really understand how the algorithm and the platform ACTUALLY work.
      I have a channel of under 3k subscribers that drove $6M in sales for my business and earned me multiple 6 figures in income in 2024. I just started a 2nd channel teaching how to employ the same niche strategy leveraging youtube in my same niche industry. And guess what? My videos are averaging double digital views. And it's not because my videos aren't "authentic" (my main channel drives 100% of my business and hundreds of thousands of views). But guess what? As a small channel literally just starting a few weeks ago, youtube is not blowing up my videos simply because "new creators are getting monetized in 30 days"... that's nonsense. It's performing like a new channel DOES perform when the content is super niche because that's how it actually works. But trust me, if I started a channel tomorrow and started giving nonsensical advice with no substance telling new youtubers they can blow their channel up by virtue of just existing as a new channel - I WOULD GET WAY MORE VIEWS. Let's please just stop pretending that isn't the common demonimator here.
      Meanwhile these creators are going to get monetized with a views only strategy, and realize they are making at best HUNDREDS of dollars per month. Maybe a couple thousand if they're absolutely in the statistical minority. And unfortunately nobody will have explained to them that creating a monetization strategy on views alone is an objectively bad strategy. Imagine wasting months of your life giving youtube advice you don't understand to people who don't know any better, only to realize once you pivot niches (because that is simply unsustainable), that your channel will fall flat because of the way the algorithm ACTUALLY works...

    What you’re showing is great for videos about RUclips tips, like dos and don’ts for growing a channel. In fact, most creators who make this kind of content follow the same trending topics because they’re always relevant. But here’s the thing-your audience looking for tips might not belong to my niche. For example, I narrate scary stories. Can I really use a cross-and-tick style thumbnail for my content? It feels like advice like this works well for growth channels but doesn’t apply to niches like mine, or ones focused on wisdom or inspirational stories.
    No one seems to address this perspective. It makes me wonder if these “RUclips gurus” are just catering to creators like us to grow their own audience. Please don’t take this as negative feedback-it’s not. I’m just pointing out that what works for your niche doesn’t really translate to others unless someone tailors it specifically for those niches.

    • @LifestyleandLegacy
      @LifestyleandLegacy  11 дней назад +1

      @MrHauntinglyYours i agree but you can get inspiration from other niche ideas and videos. There are several scary story narrative videos out there doing great (i watch a couple myself). I'm trying to inspire others to get started and grow mainly new channels. A cross and tic necessarily might not work, or maybe it could but a screen shot of your vid at the right spot with simple text can do really good.

    • @MrHauntinglyYours
      @MrHauntinglyYours 11 дней назад

      @@LifestyleandLegacy You’re doing an amazing job at inspiring others-honestly, no doubt about that. What I’m trying to say is that for beginners like me, getting ideas for thumbnails, keywords, and tags is so important. But when I watch these tutorial videos, they don’t really help with my niche. It’s easy to find tags and keywords for tutorial or general content because so many people make videos on that.
      No one, however, seems to focus on niches like mine. I was wondering if you could be the first to do it. I’ve had this thought for days, but I haven’t found another RUclips guru to suggest this to. Your content feels relatable, so I thought I’d share this idea with you.

    Does anyone actually think it's a viable strategy to build a channel based on teaching youtube strategy you don't understand to aspiring youtubers who don't know any better?? This is not the way, people...
    These channels aren't getting pushed by youtube because they're new creators. These videos are getting pushed because this particular topic is trending right now.
    You wouldn't know anything about "strategy" other than to tell people to make videos about "youtube strategy." Unless you plan is to show people how to make youtube channels teaching others how to make youtube channels teaching others to make youtube channels teaching others to make youtube channels (have you noticed there's no actual content here?) forever... you're eventually going to have to talk about something else. So even if you do actually manage to get "monetized" using this objectively bad strategy, once you start talking about literally anything else... your channel is going to fall flat on its face (because of how the algorithm ACTUALLY works).

    • @LifestyleandLegacy
      @LifestyleandLegacy  13 дней назад

      replace algorithm with audience, it's what the audience wants, not the algorithm. it's what is being searched and looked up, by the audience. it will continue to grow and i will continue to add value.

      @LifestyleandLegacy yeah, I'm aware of that lol. You're just repeating podcast highlights you've heard.

    • @andresjoberg
      @andresjoberg 3 дня назад

      The point that is proven here is not that the channels are being pushed, but videos on popular topics *from* small channels - this wasn’t the case just a few months ago.
      Now you might disapprove of the actual content of this video/info being provided, or in your own words «parroted» from podcasts and all that - but the fact that a video from this channels, and also a video from my own channel, where *both* shown on vidIQ’s youtube home feed, and we where them both featured in a vidIQ video on the subject as proof. The fact that we both have videos that where shown to vidIQ via the algorithm is proof that youtube is actively showing content from smaller creators to people based purely on the contents of the videos, and not based on the size of the channel making them, which is very good news for smaller channels getting started :)

    • @livinginoklahomacityofficial
      @livinginoklahomacityofficial 3 дня назад

      @andresjoberg nothing about this video or being featured on Vid IQ proves what you're claiming. In fact, I made a very similar comment in that very Vid IQ video. One thing they somehow conveniently didn't mention in that video, is that the throughline... the common denominator... in every example as "proof" small creators are somehow getting a push, is that these provided examples are small creators teaching "strategy" about RUclips (that they generally have no business giving).
      I'm sorry if you haven't grown a channel organically without hopping on a trend pretending to know how youtube growth works, you have no business telling people what "works." In every one of these videos, these people conveniently leave that out... and STRONGLY imply that other niches (horse training, bass fishing, vlog content, tech reviews, etc) can find success because "youtube is monetizing new creators in 30 days" because it's "on easy mode". That's absolute nonsense, and I wish this objectively bad advice would go away. It's only going to lead LOTS of new creators down a long hard road when they invariably realize that uploading every day didn't yield any real success. OR these creators are misled to believe that they can get monetized by giving youtube advice they are essentially making up (that's called grifting by the way), and then once monetized they can make whatever content they want. Except... no tf they can't, because they will fall flat on their face... because of how the algorithm ACTUALLY works.
      Honestly, as a smaller creator that has spent a couple years building a strategy that has earned me multiple 6 figures, I find it insulting that people are riding this trend wave at the expense of new creators receiving this terrible advice to essentially chase pennies.
      And btw... that thing about youtube favoring content that satisfies viewers over subs counts, is not even remotely "new." That has been the reality for SEVERAL years now. People are only saying it's "new" because calling this a "new strategy" is a trend. That's the one bad thing about YT... it incentivizes people to lie or act in bad faith, if that happens to be the trending clickable topic.

    • @andresjoberg
      @andresjoberg 3 дня назад

      @ So to sum it up:
      Yes: youtube *is* pushing videos from smaller channels, not just on growth strategy, it’s across the board on many topics.
      and no: this does of course not indicate that any channel can just «explode» like some people claim, and all other crazy claims they come up with.

      Search other channels that are doing the same content as you. Just me Looking at it, the title doesn't look like something that is being commonly searched and the thumbnail doesn't tell me anything about the video. Maybe do a video where you talk about. What it takes to make the music how long it takes, or maybe a tutorial on how to make the music. I don't know anything about that niche, so these are just suggestions.
