Sadly, the amount of tradeoffs are too high considering that we have shptk-tvp on the same tier. 416 is definitely for people who can challenge themselves
One of the few tanks that i managed to mark. I still play it from time to time, it has an absurd camo rating. With my setup, it has 67% camo stationary. It is my meme scout tank.

You know the funniest thing? They were shooting at the upper glacis with APCR and the reason all reason all those bounces were happening was because the upper glacis is super angled and APCR will struggle to penetrate 70+ degrees angled armor, not to mention they didn't bother to aim at the lower plate. This tank is very troll
The 416 was an absolute joy for me when I was grinding it. If you’re used to side scraping, and side hugging opponents while brawling, this thing can get down and dirty
416 is incredible if you know how to counter it's weaknesses: armor gun-dep and shell velocity. And abuse it's strengths - best camo in the game, great dpm and ridiculous penetration. You can shoot at heavies from 80 meters doublebushed and they most likely won't see you. I play it in stupidly risky positions with huge payouts. It's my favorite tank in the entire game because of the challenging play and being one of a kind stealth tank.
That more or less is accurate, but in those maps without light tanks like Prokhorovka, you could go wild and try a spotting build with CVS. This thing has absurd camo value and it's very sneaky when it's time to play that role, something the SPH TVP can't do because it has worse view range, worse armor and it can't run CVS.
I might be a bit late but that's simply not true, shitpak is giant, has no camo and you def notice the difference between 250 and 320 alpha. Tbh I love both but couldn't even say wich one is stronger. Let me remind you of 55%+ camo, crazy low profile, 330 heat and 3k+ Dpm. This thing can be a monster, super underrated even more so after the buffs

Back up until the gun crests the hill in front of you, can only be used in some areas but when you can get hull down like that and just have to roll forward a bit to avoid big gun fire. Love this line, but hate the object 430, can't stand it
I like this tank, even 3rd marked. The DPM is very good, although you have to shoot a lot of HEAT. After that I 3rd marked the 430 II too. The only way you can play these tanks if you camp and wait for enemies to make mistakes. The spotting build is good on this tank, you can spot if the team doesn't have light. I loved them very much. You answered why not many people play this thing, "its extremely hard to play" so people will go for easier options. You dont see many of the rear turreted russian meds out there at all. Will be looking at your armory.
I am so happy you featured this tank! It is very unique and isn't easy to play, but the camo, 330 HEAT, and alpha/dpm combination are extremely powerful. It's hilarious when you uptier and can pen the front of a Maus or E100 the same way high pen T10 HEAT can. I had a blast 3 marking it earlier this year and my best game was 8k combined in a T10 game because of the spotting setup. People sleep on this tank. It's able to scout just like a Bourrasque. You can prank EVEN 90s with it as well. Just have to be careful because it is a medium and stationary/moving conceal is not the same like with lights. I know it's not a popular tank because the K-91 is unpopular and the 430-2 is an awful grind, but I wish WG balanced more tanks like the 416. It is capable regardless of tiering, but isn't OP when top tier. There are too many tanks that feel useless when uptiered and OP when downtiered. 416 is a happy medium between the two.
@@baudy99 The 430V2 used to be a beast before WG nerfed it into the ground. It actually had great armor (thicker hull sides and a better turret than the T-54), which meant you could sidescrape against tier 9 heavies and easily win with your HEAT and DPM. Then when WG added the K91, they "fixed" the 430V2 by nerfing its armor into uselessness and only giving it some AP pen and accuracy in return (which hardly matters since you always just fired 330 HEAT in it anyway). Now the 430V2 is easily the shittiest tier 9 tech tree medium.
I remember one of my friends in the past loved to sidescrappe vs T110E3 and E4 because he knew they couldn't penetrate him in the old obj 430. It was absurd to see a medium sidescrapping vs 375 APCR taking no damage in return.

I have discovered this tank in approximately 2020. Its pretty incredible, combination of HEAT pen values (basically the same gun as T-54), dpm and cammo makes it pretty deadly medium tank with kind of TD gameplay. Unfortunately, since i marked it i started struggling with gun depression, so i sell that. :D
The website is an amazing concept so far, however i feel it would benefit if it also had a general playstyle idea for the tanks. Just a brief summarization of what the tank is good at and what to avoid while playing it.

As others have said, shitpak and kpz rh single handedly makes this tank obsolete. They are premiums, so they make money, and their statistics are mostly better (except camo and alpha, but other stats compensate for that)
Obj 416 has better dpm, better premium pen, better camo(higher than some lights), better accuracy while moving hull and driving(Which means u dont rly have to use stabilizer if you dont want to), while stg guard only has(better alpha dmg, penetration on standard rounds, better armor, and fully traversable turret).
It's a unique tank just like old 263 line used to be, bad gun depression but good guns, mobility and camo. Sadly old 263 line got massacred long ago, the only thing in the game I'll never forgive wg for

If one played BC 58 arty when big arty guns where actually fun and not stun cancer... BC 58 has a 360 turret and a auto loader. But 0 gun depress. Or say KV-1S when it had 390 alpha 170mm pen whatever... Even 3 degrees gun depress is plenty. You could work with 2. 1 and 0 really is when the issues starts.

I just looked it up but maybe someone can help me. Isnt Obj. 416 the medium tank with the highest possible camo value. I just configuered it with 60,93% camo. Thats more than on the T-100lt and Strv 103B. I think only UDES 03 on T8 may have a higher camo value in game with a fully camo build. Insane... correct me if i am wrong
i have 3 marked the obj 416 same and its better cousin called the guard, and i can safely say the 416 is not a gem at all, its a very mediocre tank, in my opinion atleast
I never say Obj 416 is strong tank...only strong are HEATs. Gun depression is terrible,armor is 6 tier,no fully ratatable turret,ammo capacity is not ideal,can burn easy..sure you have 52Camo and awarange mobility.
it's like the progetto but without the autoreloading gun, gun depression or the mobility. might as well call the tier 8 chieftain OP while we're at it.

416 is a T54 with 330 HEAT at tier 8 and crazy ass camo rating. It's honestly criminal what they did to Object 430-II. It's now somehow a worse 416

Obj 416 is the best of the best. 3rd mark in 56 games ! Awesome gold, awesome camo, this tank is a hidden beast ;)
Because it has a premium variation thats better in everyway, still catches fire more often than the orphanage in my area (i didnt do it)

I like this tank. While grinding for tier 9 i 2 marked it and completed 279 mission for aces. Still need 30k for the tier 9 tho XD
