Thanks! I have to be honest here though, I actually mixed in a separate take of the first long low c's, because it wasn't possible to hold it with half-changes that long on my piano. I would probably be able to do it on a grand piano though! (and this is the only video I have ever mixed different voices in a recording like this!)
Beautiful performance teacher, could you please analyze or play mendelssohn op19 n1? The melody is really simple but harmony is a little bit harder i think, thanks for your videos very useful :)
I'm actually playing that piece right now! I'm searching for pieces that are simple but requires a very balanced touch for melody/accompaniment, and this piece is in that category. It could very well be on my list for future pieces. Quickly - the harmony isn't that complicated, just lots of sharps when it moves to V and VV of E (B and F#). You can always go backward from a clear cadence and see how he got there. Then it's a mediant move towards G major in the middle part.
I might be actually! As long as you're comfortable playing some octaves. It's a good piece to practice hands position changes but mostly one hand moving at a time, or not too much movement at a time.
The transformation from C minor to C major in Landscape is one of the most magical moments in all of music
Beautiful stuff man that last piece was so good especially the use of the pedal to hold those low c's at the end. Such a resonant piece.
Thanks!

Would Landskap be a good piece for someone to learn if they’ve played piano pretty consistently for about a year?
