I hope you keep up the video classes
They are awesome and would help the newer players understand their guitars
It's the attention to detail and the little throwaway anecdotes that might not mean something to everyone, but might be just what some others absolutely need to hear.
Very good again! Great advice on setting the lower strings slightly higher. Not scared of intonation anymore. You've taught me a lot over the last 3 or 4 years. Thank you.
Really amazing to see how people approach this. Just how I do it....make sure the nut slots are cut to proper depth, hold down on 3rd fret and a business card should just slide under first fret, make sure neck is flat using truss rod adjustments, dress frets for any high spots, adjust bridge hgt for lowest string hgt without buzzing, adjust PU hgt from string for best balance of tone & volume. Done.
Good stuff, especially regarding the radius. I have so tinkering and experimenting to do after this one mate!
Once again, A Great Video! Best teaching methods! You do a great job ! of explaining each factor of string height, Thanks!
I'm so proud of you! Thanks for the vids, I'm enjoying your channel!
You are great!!! Congrats from Argentina... I do all my set UPS starting from the G string ... It works for me!!!
2mm is equal to 5/64 inch; i usually go 1.5mm or 4/64 inch with the 'correct' neck relief according to your video as well. I tried Jeff Beck style, 3/64 inch at 17th fret, maaan that is sooo loooow I only own a local made tele and the fret work isn't that fantastic as JB custom shop strat LOL.
Thanks for the printouts dude!
Hi, thanks for this great instructional video. I did my first setup to my Fender Stratocaster, I was playing with the action height and it is ver comfortable now. It plays great. I have a weird question now. It is normal that the action of the guitar is a bit higher at the last fret in relation to the first fret (nut fret action.) I will be waiting to hear from you. Thanks
Gudaay, Mate! Just wondering, are the bridges and stop bar and or the bridge assemblies on Squier and Epiphone guitars inferior to Fender MIM/USA and Gibson, meaning, should we be considering replacing them with higher quality bridges/ bridge assemblies??
Here is the blog he mentioned with the "printable radius gauges": dylantalkstone.com/blogs/dylan-mckerchie/keys-to-tone-part-2-string-height
Thanx.
Good info
How can I put more relief in my neck when the truss rod is already as loose as it can be?
When buying amass produced guitar, should i hav the frets leveled 1st thing or trust the manufacturer has done this to get maximum playability?
Dylan guitars are sold where? I'm gonna have to check them out online. They look and sound nice. This is the first exposure I've had with them.

Oh you are rite. I been goofing up. Thanks
What do you think about 1.25 strings height on a squier classic vibe strategy ? Thanck you !
Why the 17th fret tho? I thought you were supposed to do it at the 12th?
How can it have so little views
i love you
And I still like the whiteboard. But you are doing fine without it these days.
1.25 mm
Please use American measurements.
rick lavigne lol..... no.
