Not gonna lie, genshin bosses are kinda annoying sometimes, like you just run and dodge around and try to hit em until they die. Meanwhile honkai has like mechanics to it that keeps the player active, I fully understand that genshin also has it but its mostly a mechanism that made you stress about doing it on time while dodging and hoping that you actually did it so the boss didn't restart.

Genshin bosses looks very cool but they die too quickly because they're made for casuals. Dvalin bossfight is just sad, he looks so strong but dies in 6-7 hits, it's really a shame they don't buff him. Andrius is only difficult for early game players, once you know his pattern or get a healer, he will be much easier. Childe despite his insane riptide damage that can shred shields quickly, has an easy to dodge pattern, you don't even have to run to dodge his arrows. Azdaha is very troublesome for players who doesn't have shield/strong healer characters, he has a good difficulty spike between phases thanks to his increasingly absurd attack patterns which are sometimes undodgeable, however that doesn't really matter because he needs to kill you 4 times before you kill him (you guys should try fighting him with solo character, it's pretty fun). Signora is just eh, she's not exactly easy but not hard either, she's just annoying with her "floor is lava" Mechanic and cold/hot bar, she's trying to outlast you but too bad, again, you have 4 lifes. Raiden boss is quite fun admittedly, she's insanely hard if you don't know her patterns, which is what i seek the most in bossfights. If it weren't for the fact that healers and shielders exist, she would be a pretty amazing boss that you simply can't sweep easily every week. Scaramouche is more focused on battle mechanics which is quite nice, but once you take down his shield you have pretty much won the battle, he will barely offer any resistance after that, his hp is also dissapointingly low for a giant robot.
@@dandicandi4502 f2p players with decent investment and right team comp (not bring an electro main dps into a boss with high electro resist for example) can kill every boss without too much dificulty imo, you can also choose the dificulty of the boss if you think your team is not strong enough.
This is too accurate with my experiences with those boss fights. I have to admit that even if I love Scara as he’s my favorite character, his boss fight was kind of a disappointment with it’s difficulty, feels easy for especially people that are AR 50+ and have already well built characters. I just want something that has a good balance of being hard and enjoyable. I get the feeling they maybe catering to people that were possibly complaining of how difficult the bosses were early on.
I might not like Genshin fights, but I always keep them interesting by just using a Noelle, Keqing, Collei, and Sangonomiya combo or Noelle based teams just to make the fight feel like an actual Honkai Experience. And even then I still struggle in Honkai way more than I had with Genshin and that speaks alot with my gameplay for Genshin. As in Honkai my perfect thunder team(All FCs team comps are almost so broken tbh) is not enough in certain fights, despite the fact that certain bosses are pretty much easy to solo like Nihilius Husk with only Aponia.
the improvment pattern skill between boss "code XXI - the world" (APHO 1) and boss "code XXVI - lucheni" (APHO 2) really sick! hope next apho will beat sky people within all squad member xD
I really wanted a fun boss to fight in Genshin. Right now the closest to it is Raiden shogun because you have to dodge and jump, attack totems, find the real one when she splits. But still thats like, the only boss I actually enjoy fighting. I would really like to see harder/more fun to fight bosses with many mechanics.
Dodging to fight that Tower boss was a PAIN IN THE A** for me bc my phone quite lagging.. but overall that fight IS EPIC. And those jumping and backflip animations in between of the fight? Well, a shame that Genshin is aimed for casuals, but if it wasn't and they took the same path as Honkai with bosses, I'm sure it won't be as popular as right now because of too much stress it gives even for hardcore players. I'm a former Dragon Nest player, which is harder than Honkai in terms of mechanics and dodging so it was pretty easy for me to adjust to the bosses I encounter in Honkai such as what this video has shown. Genshin is too easy for me but I think that's also the reason why I stuck with it. It gives me relief whenever I play it rather than adding stress to the already stressful everyday life. My reason might actually be the same for most casuals out there, hence might also be the reason for Genshin's popularity.
I swear to God, I'm a veteran Honkai player (2018 gang), and Tower traumatized my ass. I spent all of my never used before 42 resurrection Syringes AND still LOST on my First run. Specially cuz doing it First time, dialogue distracts you a lot. Had to repeat It to finally kill him. But that meant 1 hour long fight, half an hour each try. My PC was crying and sweating and almost melting inside. To this day, I still haven't tried him again. That said, I was 20 levels underleveled, but didn't notice until afterwards hahaha. I accumulated missions and binged the last part of the story, instead of doing the missions as the parts are released. So I didn't notice the jump in level requirements after 3 consecutive missions (namely from exploring the second map of APHO2 for the First time in the story, finding Void Archives to killing him and then killing Tower)
Lmao in our weeklies we fight the Abyss bosses but with a lot more HP (like Ely, 200million HP, other final bosses have more HP). But we get 500 crystals weekly by doing that😳 (Edit: 500 crystals is a single pull lmao, 280 xtals is the cost of a single pull)
This is actually a story boss, while most of Genshin big boss are weekly ones. Regular bosses in Honkai are meant to beaten within 5 minutes, often much less, like 2 or 3 if you're good. APHO bosses and story bosses with a "hard" setting can take upwards of 8 minutes, between multiple phases, transitions, reaction command sequences and the fights themselves. Lucheni is probably the most extreme example but other standouts include the God Otto story battle or the battles against HoS.
And Elysian Realm is for farming materials/crystals once a week, yet they put Husk Nihilus in there, not even talking about the Flame Chaser we need to beat to get the whole 500 xtals💀
My Lee once got One shot'd by a priest robot mob, I was like "what💀" Then Alpha proceeded to one shot them with her ult cus no one is allowed to kill my Lee.
Imo Apho 1 was the only difficult part in Honkai. You barely have any Iframes and and contrary to Apho 2 you have a severe lack of Sp during your fights...as well as no healing. That underground trainstation gauntlet was pretty difficult since you didn‘t get healed all throughout the thing. And the World at level 20 leaves very little room for error as well. Apho was paced so you were easily overleveled when Luceni was ready to be fought and you have access to so many chips that you can just white heat ult spam your way to victory, basicly like chain-Q in genshin.
true. i feel like apho 1 is the biggest skill check in honkai. but once you've gotten used to the mechanics, apho 1 became somewhat easy with timing your attacks. oddly enough, a qte spam team works in apho 1 to stagger most enemies. from there, you just gotta maintain the stagger and dont let them recover.
To be honest, you can literally win scaramouche with zhongli and Amber if you have the time. Or literally one shot him on phase 2 with a well-built team. Just felt like Dvalin but with slightly more Effort

This comment section is odd to me because I quit Honkai for Genshin. I could always win with a basic understanding of HI3’s mechanics by mashing buttons, so it felt too easy. Genshin is also easy, but it’s open world so you can spend a lot of time with your favorite characters just relaxing and has a more interesting story imo.
@@nemubenzene9138 you can win by pressing random buttons but some content needs you to be strategic about your timing and pressing like Nirvana- or MA. But of course you need to know what those random buttons do so he probably did not describe his playstyle correctly

I'm also an artist. Musical, writer, and in drawings. And I love Genshin's graphics, yeah, BUT I really fell for Honkai for the story well written, the cinematics, the short animations, the music, the art whenever an event or update happens, the model of the Valkyries, everything.

Hard for me. On the one hand, I love my sci-fi and Bronya is just *chef's kiss. But as a coherent product as a whole, I'm gonna say the pieces fit together much nicely in Genshin. Problem is that the design is a bit disjointed in Honkai because we have everything from when miHoYo was a smaller, less experienced studio to the giant they are now. Early Honkai was very copy paste (as were most 3D gacha games at the time) and they've become more artistic and detailed as the years went on. But their early stuff is still clearly there in the game. I also feel they are still limited in their development environment. Their new open-worlds (fields), while better, are still kinda in the same ballpark as Sakura Samsara. I would really like it if Honkai was rebuilt from the ground up using the team's current experience and tools. Even in Genshin, you can see how much experience has carried them. Especially when you compare Sumeru to previous regions. And we can only expect Fontaine, Natlan, and Snezhnaya to be even more insane. Not to mention we are still expecting expansions to Liyue (north) and Mondstadt (Dandelion Sea).

Im not really too invested in the open world/story stuff of honkai, cuz genshin is already large enough for me to explore, so I didnt know about this boss until clicking your video, absolutely died looking at the scale of that lad compared to Scara. Dude is a childe (heh) next to the brick boi
I can say that, as long as you have meta gear, artifacts, stigmatas in both games, you'll clear everything without a problem. HI3rd and Genshin requires some lvl of skill and understanding of mechanics, because they to some extent RPG based games. But it's nothing alike DMC, MGR, Bayonetta, where pure skill needed to perform flawlessly. So, as with everything, understanding comes with time.
Honkai Bosses are more Cinematic than Genshin,, the QTE, Cutscene and the Music, those what makes naruto Storm Series Good, and they applied that to Honkai as well, you can see that later boss fight has more combat mechanic variety and much2 better Cutscene
As a guy who only play honkai for story, don't even mention how soft the story in genshin is, i mean there's still people who can't accept signora death, and in honkai death is death
Honestly, APHO feels completely different from Genshin. Genshin feels too build/character based for me (I be suffering fighting enemies because I play characters I want to). APHO feels more responsive on mobile for me than Genshin does on console, it feels like a chess match; APHO enemies and bosses feel, fair, engaging, and like they belong. Genshin polarizes me with their enemy design. An example of this is elite samurai. They aren't vulnerable leaving their elemental forms, and heal if one of a pair dies. Haven't done APHO Chapter 2 but I will soon.
Well, I am not a good gamer. I don't have a problem admitting that, I am not good. I tried Honkai and I failed and I am sure if I invested a lot of time into it, I could get better for sure. But I don't have the time, lol. As a casual and not very good gamer I am thankful Genshin bosses aren't really hard, ngl
I'm actually glad of that, cus I don't play Genshin that much for the fights. I only go there for the music or chilling with the people in coop. It's way funnier than fighting a boss 15 minutes.
@@nemubenzene9138 same. I like it when Characters are fun to play like Kazuha or the Wanderer or something, but the atmosphere and story is what I am here for. If I had to go through a 5 week training arc to beat a boss like Dvalin, I would have most likely stopped playing a long time ago.
Exactly. The only thing keeping genshin bring "better" than honkai is graphics. Even then honkai isn't horrible graphics, just less detailed because they focus on combat, not overworld 😅😅
Except they haven't in the 2 years since Genshin has been out. It's understandable why, they would have to probably change things at a foundation level to optimize the game with enhanced graphics. But obviously if Honkai has survived this long (and still making money) without Genshin graphics, why would they need to upgrade? I feel they may be wrapping up Honkai in the next few years and are probably pooling their resources into another instalment that utilizes all of their new tools and technologies. It would be too much of a headache to try and implement them now. They probably thought it might be better just to make another instalment rather than trying to update the current game live.
Forget about the long stamina bars and mechanics stuff, the feelings of achievement defeating a Honkai boss gives you are different. Not to mention the ambient and the soundtrack. When there's a boss Honkai screams you're moving up in the game!! Haven't played Genshin but I'm willing to bet defeating a boss there will feel just like another Tuesday.
And the fact that old honkai story bosses...it has no choice difficulty, whereas todays chapter bosses starting from (whatever chapter kolosten was cuz that where i first saw difficulty choices)..i dont even know how hard or easy honkai bosses are since i was so used to dying on first attempt and succeeding on second attempt. it was fun, can guarantee you that though tldr: basically we had single difficulty (aside from MA and Abyss) for story bosses
I think that genshin's combat would improve a lot of you had more I-frames and dodging didn't consume stamina. I think it just doesn't make sense to make the stamina recover so slowly in a combat that can go for easily 5 minutes, making you unable to position or even taking hits for being unable to dodge
See now we are seeing reasons why the combat in Genshin is mid. Honkai did it well, but in Genshin they never added those mechanics that made Honkai engaging and fun. In Genshin assuming you're not getting hit all you do is mash buttons. In Honkai you can time perfect dodges, QTEs, and time combos so you're not mashing as much because you gotta time your presses and hope to not get interrupted and are actually able to dance with the bosses. It's a lot of fun!

The only boss that annoys me is the Chasm worm and the chicken.
And then there are the lawachurls, one shoting my 35k HP Bennett. Not bosses, but annoying as hell.😭

Try to have the best gears in APHO 1 or 2, there are literally no gears to get there, is pure skill because APHO is based on DMC but in Honkai.
@@nemubenzene9138 and yeah, I agree, APHO is best there is in HI3rd.
There's a very simple difference.
Scaramouche fits on screen.
Lucheni doesn't.
15 minutes dude? That is so much effort idk if I can be arsed anymore
Honkai is all about *patience*
@@nemubenzene9138 I don't know if I have the patience man
Honkai Bosses are more Cinematic than Genshin,, the QTE, Cutscene and the Music, those what makes naruto Storm Series Good, and they applied that to Honkai as well, you can see that later boss fight has more combat mechanic variety and much2 better Cutscene
Are you sure you're playing Honkai and not an anime modded God of War 3? Cuz holy crap that was a spectacle.
As a guy who only play honkai for story, don't even mention how soft the story in genshin is, i mean there's still people who can't accept signora death, and in honkai death is death
YES, like, everyone were crying with the story of Xiao's siblings, but I didn't.
Because the story of the Flame Chasers is 10000x more depressing😭
true i dont even feel anything about in genshin story
Wait till they see people dropping dead left and right after rotting away their soul
Tell that to himekopers
Genshin will NEVER be able to beat Honkai in terms of story and depression
@@dailyicetea3829 perhaps you have never play hardcore PC PvE game in your childhood.
@@saimyintmyat9373 I never did, that's right.
I play both of the games but I like Honkai more than Genshin, Cause Honkai big boss fight got a duo combo ultimate.
Ik, Adam/Carole is my favorite duo ultimate. Just cus Adam appears, he cute.
That's not big boss that's a Titan 😂
NGL Genshin has only the graphics going for it and even that can be polished out in honkai quite easily...
Exactly. The only thing keeping genshin bring "better" than honkai is graphics. Even then honkai isn't horrible graphics, just less detailed because they focus on combat, not overworld 😅😅
@@crustacean78 graphics and beautiful open world compatible for all players with calm traditional music and their cultural in each places. That all.
@@saimyintmyat9373 and just a good story, good combat system, awesome characters and dark undertones.
Yeah the usual. /s

Tbh Hoyo's favorite game is Honkai
Forget about the long stamina bars and mechanics stuff, the feelings of achievement defeating a Honkai boss gives you are different. Not to mention the ambient and the soundtrack. When there's a boss Honkai screams you're moving up in the game!!
Haven't played Genshin but I'm willing to bet defeating a boss there will feel just like another Tuesday.
You're right, when I defeat a boss in Honkai, I feel powerful. When I defeat a boss in Genshin I feel nothing💀
As both players of each game, I still found the running simulator in Genshin so funny 😂😂
And the fact that old honkai story bosses...it has no choice difficulty, whereas todays chapter bosses starting from (whatever chapter kolosten was cuz that where i first saw difficulty choices)..i dont even know how hard or easy honkai bosses are since i was so used to dying on first attempt and succeeding on second attempt. it was fun, can guarantee you that though
tldr: basically we had single difficulty (aside from MA and Abyss) for story bosses
Yeah but old bosses cannot one shot you (now) unlike Otto/Kevin in *normal* not event talkin about hard 😭
Honkai bosses are basically God of War tiers
Genshin has to be easy af or else it'll give players anxiety
Dude !! Dat édit for the end ●_○ wow!!!
