I was saying that Divorce in the Black was another version on Madea's Family Reunion the play, just the couple was already married and there was no Madea.

I wish Tyler would give opportunities to unknown, TALENTED screenwriters and directors. He’s been blessed with a huge amount of success despite making embarrassingly awful, disrespectful TV shows and movies; pride is a dirty thing.

My husband wanted to watch this show and I was like nooooo. We tried it for the first 10 minutes, horrible🤦🏾♀️. Tyler Perry rushed his production to get the movies and shows out, I’m sorry I can not with the same story line and bad acting and wigs🤦🏾♀️😳

Imma say this and be done. Tyler is no longer a creative person. This is clear because he regurgitates the same story, with different characters. He's a business man. He's found a model that works. (Write, film and produce cheap movies in 4 days) He's found an audience that accepts this product (garbage movies) and it works. From a business stand point it makes sense.
I expect nothing from Tyler and I judge his films off his own films. Cause to do anything else at this point would be insane lol

To your point I feel all the content creators who had the same view about the movie all rushed to get content out instead of watching for details. A lot said things were missing in the movie that was actually said. That is the only reason I can see people commenting what was missed.

IMO, TP is not original in his writings he continues to borrow scenarios from previous movies & TV shows, which is why the stories/dialogue aren't fully developed.

@CandieP there are many reasons why women don't want to testify. Working with abused women, you see it all the time. Some women don't want to because they are, in fact, lying. Other women are terrified to face their abusers. Some are afraid of retaliation. They want to say it happened but not take it further. We don't know why all those ladies didn't testify. We don't know anything but what we consume.

We as black people still support him because we watch, but why NOT give a black writer a chance to pitch and bring new topics to the for front. The movie was good to me. Its just that tired ass grocery store it looks so fake. I can see what u mean about the movie, Flash backs, a story of Meghan and Cory before it got bad. More to the story basically. For me, it was great actors, but the scenery I could NOT get with. He needs to accept help but again, like me, He's A Virgo and we be trying to do everything ourselves. Its not good. Even with some of his shows u can tell he needs help. Yes he is too quick to put a movie out and that's probably because he has so much shit going on. He has so many loyal fans and they will watch no matter what and some will lie and say it was great, when it was just mediocre. Mia Culpa was great to me. I loved that movie.

I thought the movie was good and the acting was excellent, Cory Hardrict acting was surprisingly good in this movie. I love Megan Good I really don't like Johnathan for her but I'm wishing the best for her always.
After Cory's performance, I didn't like him anymore....very convincing.....you cannot satisfy blk ppl.
