@@Strikerage True, but for the memes it would be INSANE. I'll admit I'm not even a fan of the NBA or Basketball, but I know that there has never been an 8 seed or 7 seed team to win the NBA Championship ever, but that doesn't mean they can't. Here’s a bold suggestion: the “play-in” should start in August and the top eight teams in each conference can advance by winning the best of 82 game “regular season”.
Two questions I have, do the teams play a single elimination game instead of a best of 7 series? And has a 9th and a 10th seed ever actually beat the 7th and 8th seeds to make the playoffs?
@@NBA.Ranking Wow they need to win 2 consecutive games against the 7/8th seeds while the 7 and 8th seeds can eliminate the lower seeds in one game?! That sounds messed up, thanks for the response!
@@NBA.Ranking Oh wow that's nuts! 😂 Appreciate you taking your time to explain this to me, I don't really watch the NBA cause' I'm a Football/Ice Hockey guy but the play-in concept intrigued yet confused me!
Yes the 9th seed has actually won 3 out of 4 times to make the playoffs. 10th seed has never made the playoffs. So far the 9th has made the playoffs 75% of the time.
So team A plays 82 games, ends up at 7th seed then has to go to a friggin play in to earn the right to keep what they earned for busting there hump for got dog it 82 games. Makes zero sense!. This is all set up so that Lebum James still has a chance to win a ring so they can push the narrative that LBJ is the GOAT over MJ and Kobe😂😂😂 shit is soo obvious. Just like when they set up the “bubble” and we all seen who won that fake ass championship. I bet if the lakers had a record that got them a guaranteed spot in the playoffs, this play in tournament wouldn’t exist. But because the lakers sucked ass this season, they needed a way to get Lebum James into the playoffs despite having a shit record not worthy to make the playoffs😂😂😂
@@Badnuwzretired Since they're 9th or 10th during the regular season, them earning the right to be in the playoffs means they have to win two games to get the 8th spot in the playoffs. The higher positioned get two opportunities to just win 1. It's fair
this is stupid. Just keep it to the top 8 teams in each conference. As for the nba draft; the best record team that didn't make the playoffs should have a higher chance of getting the #1 pick. It shouldn't be the worst team in the NBA that gets the highest odd of getting the #1 pick.

Yes. One reason there is a play-in tournament is to make the regular season exciting and competitive until the last game.
