My first time in Phuket was during Bike Week in April of 2000. Back then, it was laid back and not too crazy. If you didn't experience that era, you missed out. It seems like yesterday, but I guess not. Anyway, over the years I spend more than a few months in Patong Beach. As soon as I know the rainy season is over for sure, I'll plan a tru=ip back, just for the heck of it. I'm an hour away from the Bangkok airport, so I can be there the same day. and stay a month.

Those houses built into the hills to the left of patong beach aren’t houses it is actually The Amari Resort.. have stayed there it’s incredible 🙌 expensive but worth the experience

A lof of the hotels in phuket seem really really cheap. Are there any standard or luxury hotels similar in standard to something like a Hilton?

I have lived in phx for 45 years before the i 10 went through here. The city has chaanged for the worst, we never had rhe drug problem, homeless and cost of living is on par with California its a shame
