Refer to the events following the EuroMaidan and the Maidan Regime's declaration of an 'Anti-Terrorist Operation' in April 2014 after which they went to war against their own people and started massacring anti-Maidan protestors in the streets and secession referendum voters at polling stations.
Refer to the March 2019 interview with Zelensky's then presidential advisor, Aleksei Arestovich, in which he talks about how "Ukraine can't be neutral" and that "war with Russia is the best case scenario" and that "we will not be speaking of any timeframes for termination of conflict".
Refer to the Minsk Peace Accords, their obligations under which Kiev never implemented into law for 8 years (obligations they themselves agreed to).
Refer to the statements made by Petro Poroshenko, Francois Hollande, and Angela Merkel, in which they blatantly admit that none of them ever had any intention to implement and abide by the Minsk Accords, and that they were simply buying time for Kiev to build up a NATO-style army.
Refer to the OSCE monitoring mission reports from the Donbass region which detail the 8000 ceasefire violations that the Ukraine army committed between February 14th-23rd in 2022.
Kiev launched an escalation and didn't stop attacking even after Russia entered into a defensive pact with the Donetsk and Lugansk republics on the 20th of that month.
Refer to the Istanbul peace agreement of April 2022 in which Russia was still willing to return all the territory they occupied in exchange almost exclusively for Ukraine's non-NATO neutrality.
This peace deal already had everybody's signatures on it when it was derailed by US and UK state department officials on April 9th, who convinced Kiev to keep fighting and promised "full support" "until the strategic defeat of Russia".
Refer to the statements made by Ukraine's head negotiator, David Arakhamia, in July 2022 in which he said "Russia offered generous peace terms and we should have taken them".
Refer to December 2021 when the White House told Russia that "We will not compromise on NATO expansion".
Refer to what US politicians and statesmen were saying in the 1990s about how putting NATO into Ukraine would provoke a war against Russia.
Refer to the recent NewYorkTimes article which details how Kiev has allowed the CIA and Mi6 to conduct covert operations into Russia from Ukrainian territory since 2014.

@@Polymorphism1111 And yet it is Kiev that started this war in 2014. If you respect the right to self determination, then you must support the decisions of the East Ukrainians to secede from Ukraine and condemn Kiev’s military response to that secession.
Russia’s involvement is to 1) defend the people of Luhansk and Donetsk from Kiev’s aggression, and to 2) defend Russia against encirclement by an expansionist NATO military bloc that seeks to encroach far too close to Moscow.
Framing Russia as an aggressor acting without valid provocation only works when you are addressing ignorant people.

I think the opposite- I think he refused to die, or simply did not understand, or believe in, the concept. You can tell that Russian army is slowly getting comfortable with the battlefield condition. This is the reason China is hiring veterans of Bakhmut to train their soldiers. Any modern army heading into battle now will be shocked by the current "meta", and Russia is not fighting some low tech insurgent, they are fighting multiple high tech nations, with intel and money funds far superior to the Russian army.

I don't think they are shocked being that they have been watching the 3 day special operation for over 2 years now. The fact that China wants to receive training from troops that have experienced conflict vs NATO battleplans and technology simply means China is also paying attention.

This is a Nato - Russia war since 2022. When all said and done, Nato will be nearly demilitarised. Without air defenses, armored vehicles and tanks...war with China is not possible.

In WW2 there was story about one Soviet soldier that managed to kill tens of Nazis and was holding his position they coudent get through. Of course later they killed him but gave him honorary burial 🫡
There are at least a dozen of the similar stories about lone Soviet Red Army soldiers defending their positions and KIA by the Nazi Germany's Wehrmacht troops.
But those honorary burials for those hero Soviet soldiers did happen only during the first months of the 1941 German invasion of the USSR when Wehrmacht still had a lot of officers with the noble Prussian military set of values.
Later in the war (starting from around December 1941-January 1942) there are no recorded facts of such honorary burials - Wehrmacht started the real war of genocide against Soviet people.
BTW my late maternal Cossack grandfather in 1944 manned the artillery piece all by himself (the gun crew was KIA) and helped his comrades to repel the Nazi German counterattack. For this deed my grandfather was awarded the medal "For Military Deeds", his second during the same year.

Keeping accountability of people in Ukraine is hard; often, entire groups are wiped out and it's up to follow-up forces (whenever they arrive) to attempt to identify/evacuate the dead and wounded whenever they come upon them. At other times ground changes hand multiple times and neither side has a chance to determine the fate of, let alone extract any casualties in the contact area.
