If you watch the episode, you can tell that Sangmin was trying to be careful with Heechul because he knew that he might explode and just kick them out of his house. They were being extreme in order to desensitize Heechul and what they were doing was meant to be unsettling. I think Sangmin and Jongmin were sincere about their mission, while Junho was mostly trying to be funny to get more screen time. They did make some good points though. Heechul himself said that he had problems with past girlfriends related to his "cleanliness". If you think about it, it would be very difficult to live with someone when that person can't even let things happen spontaneously, like when he suddenly stopped his girlfriend who was about to kiss him so that he could brush his teeth first. He said that he did it because he did not want to disappoint the girl, but I'm pretty sure that it killed the mood.
If Heechul is at the level of cleanliness to the point of having mysophobia, I really doubt that he can handle having kids without therapy. Children are messy. They would live constant anxiety if Heechul doesn't change. Also, Sangmin is right. Heechul's girlfriends have been walking on eggshells. It's not the best environment. Before anyone calls me a hater, Heechul has been my bias since I got into K-Pop in '08 wven if I never really got into SuJu. I've known that he likes to keep things clean but, the more I watch this show, the more I am getting concern about his future.

my dad is like heechul. i grew up with having a dad who always made sure the house was clean, no messes. even now he's the same, but he is almost 60 years old. and he's been a little relaxed, but his house is still spotless clean even though he's been more 'relaxed' when it comes to cleaning and making sure everything is spotless. and coming from me, i understood where the men were coming from. people would be scared to do anything at your house, afraid of angering that person if they drop some crumbs on the floor. but what some people don't realize, it's hard to change. i know other people who are like my dad and heechul. it's not easy, even i have been cleaning more and more. making sure no one even gets a small crumb or stain on anything in my house. again i understood where the men came from and wanting to help. but i would've gotten a little annoyed, maybe even angry. cause it's like, "cmon now... you're doing too much." but i still love how they want to help heechul, but it won't be easy. because it doesn't happen overnight of someone changing their ways. not even in weeks, or months. sometimes years.
I'd rather live with someone like Heechul than the other men. I get anxious when things get too dirty and while I do things like eat in bed, I clean up as soon as I'm done. I am not Asian, so I wouldn’t be able to be in socks on the floor, I need my clean shoes to walk around in my house and use deodorant to avoid sweat and clean my feet and have my sock to sleep only. I eat snack with spoon or in the bag using my mouth if I know I will finish them. He is not too clean because he has dogs walking on his furniture and bed and my family wouldn’t let pets walk on them, that was unclean for us and I would freak out because pets have to poo and lick themselves to be clean. My grandma had lots of pets in the countryside and they never were in spaces we had to eat or sleep, she was clean and they had their own space to run in nature. If he has a partner, that person has to be like him and understand his cleanliness, not fixing it because he has a mental condition that will remind him that he has to fix it no matter what. We can reduce it, but it is difficult. In my country, if I say something about being clean, they think I am exaggerating and they don’t care, I have cousins that had a mess in their own rooms and at that time my cleanliness was not worse than now. No, it's totally normal. I don't sleep on bed except I exchange the clothes I wear outside first, I wear slipper at home, sock only on bed when sleeping or cold temp. I eat chip with two fingers only and avoid other areas get in touch with my hand then wipe with wet tissue. Before eat, wash hands even not eating using hand directly. After comes home, wash hand and rinse mouth, bed = wash foot, clothes change.
I know this is just a show and that they’re friends but in real life: dont be effin rude when you’re at someone else’s house. Be respectful and conscientious. If you wanna act like yourself, invite your friends to your own house or just stay at home. Your house, your rules.

As someone with OCD exposure/shock therapy is an incredibly useful tool! Sometimes you just have to learn to live with things. COVID weirdly helped me bc I realised it was out of my control no matter how clean I tried to be and I know a woman who had twins which helped bc she just could not escape the mess of kids and adapted
being clean is understandable, but i can feel the stress. the way they eat chips on the bed is too much 😅 also, it’s true that if you’re known to be too neat, and hate it when things get dirty, the people around you would get anxious or nervous when they’re with you. it’s really hard tho.

Nah she likes cleaning and to organize things but she's not a neat freak person. It's a bit extreme, isn't it? I feel for Heechul. A bed is way too personal, intimate. Also, you don't need to be a neat freak to think that eating in bed is nasty - especially if it leaves crumbs like potato chips.
Exposure therapy only works if the OCD person is up to it - if they're open to change. This is just creating trauma lol I have OCD Germaphobia too, this stuff can be really upsetting ( though I know the fear is irrational, but you still go through all the emotions).

No, it's totally normal. I don't sleep on bed except I exchange the clothes I wear outside first, I wear slipper at home, sock only on bed when sleeping or cold temp. I eat chip with two fingers only and avoid other areas get in touch with my hand then wipe with wet tissue. Before eat, wash hands even not eating using hand directly. After comes home, wash hand and rinse mouth, bed = wash foot, clothes change.
I could never live with someone like heechul unless he doesn’t say anything and cleans up himself when I get messy.

As someone with OCD exposure/shock therapy is an incredibly useful tool! Sometimes you just have to learn to live with things. COVID weirdly helped me bc I realised it was out of my control no matter how clean I tried to be and I know a woman who had twins which helped bc she just could not escape the mess of kids and adapted
being clean is understandable, but i can feel the stress. the way they eat chips on the bed is too much 😅 also, it’s true that if you’re known to be too neat, and hate it when things get dirty, the people around you would get anxious or nervous when they’re with you. it’s really hard tho.

Oh my god, I can relate to those gfs. I've lived with someone with the same issue before and it's no joke! The waking on eggshells is so true. And it does mess with your head. I felt like I had to clean the bathroom after what would be otherwise normal on goings just so they didn't potentially get upset

my sister was also obsessed witu cleanliness to this extent, and let me tell you, its one of the worst annoyances you can live with. when she got home after work she started rage-cleaning even though there was nothing to clean. she got extremely mad and offensive if there was a speckle of dust around and you always got the short end of the stick if she found even the tiniest bit of trash.
her relationships with other people were definitely strained due to this, so I'm glad that she got over it mostly.

Nah she likes cleaning and to organize things but she's not a neat freak person. Exposure therapy only works if the OCD person is up to it - if they're open to change. This is just creating trauma lol I have OCD Germaphobia too, this stuff can be really upsetting ( though I know the fear is irrational, but you still go through all the emotions).
