Summer is officially here! We have 44 talented musicians helping us to celebrate a new season of good music. Chillhop Music's newest compilation, Essentials Summer 2023, is our 30th release in this ongoing series, and it features many of our favorite producers and artists in the instrumental community, all together for over an hour (2xLP vinyl) of sunny skies and cool pools.
Essentials Summer 2023 features recent Chillhop beat tape alumni like Misha, El Train, J.Folk, and Evil Needle, while also spotlighting songs from familiars like SwuM, Psalm Trees, Kreatev, C Y G N, Saib, and dozens of others.
This album is 73 minutes of jazzy hip-hop and lofi beats. Funky synths, boom bap kicks. However you might like to classify this. It's all part of the same Chillhop vibe - a welcoming and comforting sign of the summertime vibes ahead. A new season is here. Fill up the cooler and queue up the GSP for a relaxed destination (whether real or imagined) as you drift away with this carefully curated compilation. Grab your sunglasses. Grab some sunscreen. Get in the car and go.
