Geoff has a way of really feeling the lyrics and singing them in a tone that suits the lyrics better than the original. He did it here and in Ain't no Sunshine just off the top of my head. So deep and sombre and sincere. The percussion and piano were just so fitting
This is just a wonderful cover. It took me a minute to get used to hearing the harmony withoutseeing the Geoff clones. This is the first time he's used that techniue; I bet it's not the last. Great reaction, Brad!!
OK. So. here's the problem. How is he ever going to top that? I mean, we've gone from strong showing to strong showing with Geoff. He always goes from strength to strength. We have grown to expect it, but when it gets here, we're always blown away becauses he surpasses human expectation. I've been singing this song since , what,1965? It's like the first time I ever heard it. I've been quaking and quivering since Friday. Where do we go from here? And, where are we finally going to wind up when we get there? Mind blown!!
Another fan said S&G's version was the warning, Disturbed's was the anger and Geoff's the sadness. Beautifully said and the truth for this song. Geoff excels at brining across all the emotion and gives me the feels every single time. I love his low bass, but the Eb4 was seriously impressive.
7:01 nice harmony btw man! But about geoff he is truly a singer great arrangement as well, I am a bass singer myself and can very well hit those lows as geoff can but I can tell ya👀 it ain't easy for a bass to go that high, I'll just call geoff an alien hands down.
Geoff couldn't have done that any more perfectly!! Found another bass that can compete with him?? The song is Valhalla Calling (Trio Version) Miracle Of Sound ft. Eric Hollaway & Peyton Parrish. It's worth listening to!!! - ruclips.net/video/mQFPk8n97wk/видео.html
Nice reaction! As good as this version is, I still actually prefer Dan Vasc's 2020 version (he also covered it in 2016). Without Dan's version, I doubt that I would have ever heard of Geoff or you or any of the other great RUclipsrs I'm following now. Dan opened up a whole lot of new interests in my life thanks to his amazing singing, and Geoff is easily in my top 5 singers.
they both have good and bad points im not a huge fan of Geoff's version it felt super monotone and a little slow for most of the song (its super hard as a true bass to add nuance that's obvious) and that's where David's version shines but where I like Geoff's is he diverted from the original so much but still kept the feeling I just wish he had gone a little more towards David's version vocally
@sammus geoff took the whole harmony line and broke it up, which is amazing! He usually stacks it. Listen again, close your eyes and layer i n your head
Haunting! Perfect word to describe it! Hauntingly mesmerizing, dark and beautiful! 🤯

Great reaction, Brad!!
I Thank GOD for giving us Men & Women humble enough to share their talents with us!!! Take care Brad!!!
Geoff is so awesome! This is so awesome! Love your reaction!
OMG WOW!!! I have goosebumps on top of my goosebumps love! love! love!!! it
So gorgeous and brings a whole new meaning to a lot of the lyrics and while the melody is often tweaked, it adds so much. Lord, that man is a talent.
Your harmonizing blends into the song so well! Really beautiful!

The last note there in the high part is an Bb4 I believe
Pentatonix' version is a song of new hope.
@@NathanJ-E There's a G4 and I think also a F4 some time before the Bb4.
He sounds so good in that range.
Perfectly said!!
That's such a cool analogy!
That was my favorite what’s going on riff ever!
This is a true masterpiece. The emotions are incredible. A great choice, Brad. Well done.
Even after being a fan of Geoff for over a year. He still figured out how to surprise me. His voice is AMAZING
Love that you and King Family shout each other out!
Eli could be insane with jeff here
That low note sounds like a cello. Amazing.
The low rumble you hear several times during the song was electronically produced.
@@marshayoung9387 I wasn't actually meaning the rumble sound but Geoff's really low subharmonic note. It sounded to me as if being played on a cello.
I don't think you've reacted to Geoffs' version of High & Dry yet. It's his best and really shows off his unique skills.
He has, both by himself and then as in 'showing my fiancee'.

An incredible performance for sure. Though I still prefer Disturbed.

he be good but l prefer david draiman's version
Disturbs is great but I prefer Geoff's version. Musical enjoyment is subjective so all opinions are valid here.

@@stacey1schulte I'm aware it just didn't work all the great for me
It is like comparing pizza to a cheesburger. Both are great in their own way, but I can't honestly say one is better than the other.
