Thanks, I agree with a previous commenter, Growe provides little help. Your video helped me. Different model, but same concept, especially the pin and getting the pin reset. At first the pin would not go back and I pulled it out and made it a bit smaller/thinner (by bending it in with my fingers and it went in perfectly. It is seems to seat itself around the nut from the temp control valve, but by thinning it out it made it into the two received holes on the other side.
When I first reinstalled it, the water was cold at 110 degrees. I used your video to adjust the controller inside the unit and then reinstalled the stem back on and viola!!
Thanks so much, save the plumber from coming!!

Thanks for posting this! I have a somewhat similar model and your video helped me figure out how to disassemble. I'm not the original owner of the house, which has mostly Grohe fixtures, and I don't have ANY literature!

Good thing about Grohe, if you receipts then they’ll help you out.

I put in a new cartridge and out everything back on. Now turning the white part, I can’t change the temp. No cold. Help please?

That stinks! But even if you set the white part wrong, you should still feel a temp change when turning it. Unless the valve is faulty, the wrong one, or installed improperly. The valve I installed was confirmed by Grohe customer service when I sent details and a picture to him. I assume they were the same when you took out the old and matched it up with the new one?
With my valve I have 3 shower heads connected up to it. Did you turn any screws to shut water off or just shut off the main to the house?
      What was the original problem?

@@entrthedragon It turns out that Grohe customer service recommended a replacement that was a volume cartridge instead of temperature one. So I purchased the correct thermostatic one and will install that. Thank you!
