1980 thru1983 GP Motocross machines and riders were the greatest of all time. Andre Vromans, Harry Everts, and especially Carla and Malherbe were my favorites
What the Hell is the Yellow Water Cooled bike in this video?? There's shrouds ! I have Yz 490 Yz 465 Rm 500 Kx 500 ktm 500 Cagiva 500 Cr 500 do I need to locate another? Everett's bike ? Pipe and silencer on right side ?
83 works bikes from Suzuki. At the beginning of the season they startet with air-cooled bikes and in the mid season they changed to water cooled engines. These were the only water cooled factory 500cc bikes from Suzuki and also the last ones, because at the end of the 83-season Suzuki retired from factory racing. As you can also see in Video 3 on 0:43 the bikes were also equipped with White-Power rear shocks. At the beginning of the year they had a lot of trouble with the OEM Kayaba-shocks getting to hot after some time and loosing reboud damping. Harry Everts was asking to change, but first the factory refused. Finally Everts told them to retire if things wouldn´t change and the aggreed. And finally they had bikes, that were able to win.

montdeswelches its a shame that Suzuki never sold the water cooled 500s to the public.
Thankyou!
