The foxian with Jing Yuan, Jingliu and Blade isn't Yukong, it's Baiheng ;)
and according to the lore we can find, his crime was to use the transmutation arcanum on Baiheng (certains theories says that it turned Baiheng into Bailu) , and give immortality to Blade to heal him, because he was gravely injured

@@callumwetton4553 No, Bailu is a Vidyahara while Baiheng is a foxian both of them are totally different species and only Vidyaharas are capable of there so called "reincarnation".

Yinxing was Blade's true name, and the Foxian is not Yukong, but named Bai Heng, a member of the Quintet and also a Member of Nameless(same as dan heng)

Little fact: for chinese culture, pouring liquor/alcohol from a small cup like that, usually on graves (in this case a statue) is like a memory to those who passed, it's an offering

I have no Idea who Yingxing is, it could actually be Blade's old name but the Fox girl in the beginning isn't yukong its Baiheng just want to point that out. Amazing reaction btw 👍

Okay, so here is what I understood from fhe lore so far: Out of fhe Quintet Yingxing (who is now known as Blade) was the only one with a short lifespan. In the drinking scene he already looks quite old (that's also why his hair is white, I think). Dan Feng didn't want to let him die, so he let him into that dragon city we visited in the Trailblaze mission (we also saw and heard an echo of Dan Feng and Yingxing speaking with each other). Therefore Blade became Mara-struck and immortal. (The "out of five ppl three must pay a price" refer to Yingxing, Dan Feng and Jingliu bcs she killed Blade over and over again with the Blade he carries rn).
That Dan Feng granted Yingxing immortality (I don't know if it was against Blade's will or not) was a crime on its own, but it had dire consequences for the High Elder Transmutation cycle (which is also why Bailu is a child rn, even though she is the high elder). Therefore Dan Feng got forced to reincarnate and both him and Yingxing were exiled.
I think the popular theory right now is that Dan Feng (past Dan Heng) didn’t actually try to make Yingxing (past Blade) immortal, but try to revive dead Baiheng (who died from a battle) using the transmutation arcanum (some secret mystical technology). Yingxing was helping him. The result was disastrous as it made Blade marastruck and turned him into an immortal, also rejuvenating him. Of course, he became a criminal and was banished as immortality is a taboo sin. It also brought some form of disaster which was so grave that they forcefully rebirthed Dan Feng. Rebirthed Dan Feng, Dan Heng was subject to imprisonment at birth and later banished from the Loufu. However, usually the succession of a Long’s scion would go uninterrupted but the earlier disaster disrupted something which made Dan Heng an incomplete scion. On the hand, the Loufu gained Bailu, an anomaly, who had no prior records of past life and was truly “born”, who was also a scion but albeit incomplete as well, hence her child form. It is speculated that Dan Feng in fact, succeeded, at least partially as Bailu is Baiheng’s reincarnation. Jing Yuan watched all of this go down and only meted out punishments as the general, he was bystander for most of the conflict. Jingliu, however, became marastruck after Baiheng’s death, possibly because of grief. She also resented Dan Feng and Yingxing from taking matters into their own hands and committing taboo, also desecrating Baiheng’s death as well. That’s also why she killed Blade multiple times, effectively teaching him swordsmanship. But, she rampaged on the Loufu because of her waning sanity and was banished by Jing Yuan. She made a deal with an unknown being who helped restricts her marastruck while Blade had Kafka use her spirit whisper to restrict his after being recruited into the Stellaron Hunters. Now, Blade chases after Dan Heng to kill him but also to seek relief from unending pain of his immortality. Dan Heng seeks to find self-identity and redemption because of being branded a criminal at birth with no prior memories. Jingliu wishes for revenge on the being at the center of the disaster, Aeon of Abundance Yaoshi, who in the war with followers of Abundance killed Baiheng as well as the transmutation arcanum being a device with the powers of Abundance. It is also the Aeon behind the marastruck which afflicts Blade and herself. Jing Yuan has always stayed true to his duty as general, not acting much in a personal capacity, despite knowing what goes on. A lot of this is based on canon but there are also speculations and interpretations mixed in.

I think you got some stuff mixed up. The stellaron in the Luofu is a recent event and Dan feng's banishment happened years before it. Yukong in the first xianzhou arc has mentioned that stellarons aren't that big of a deal. It's just that this time things got out of hand due to the chaos made by the stellaron hunters, sanctus medicus and phantylia. There's still no exact proof on what Dan feng did to get banished but it's implied that he somehow dabbled in immortality and it is implied that Dan feng was the reason Blade is immortal.
Blade as a Xianzhou native was already immortal everyone except the Foxians on the Xianzhou is immortal, Dan Fang fault is Blade being infected with mara, and some other things.
@@TheYeahzusI dont think blade is a xianzhou native. in his story part 4, it is mentioned he came to xianzhou with a trade crew and was fasinated by the crafting art there and stayed

@@TheYeahzus If you look closely at Blade at the start of this short, Blade has wrinkles on his face, he's older. His real name is implied to be Yingxing and during the last quest, you can find an echo of Dan Feng and Yingxing talking, where Yingxing literally calls himself one of the short-life species and Dan Heng says Yingxing's voice is familiar. Plus yep, it was said in Blade's story that he moved to Xianzhou, he's not from there.

I was thinking that maybe he’s the reason they’re both alive and not dead. Like he broke the laws of nature to keep them alive. Like Jing Liu is alive despite what Mara does and still has sanity and in the shots where Dan Heng is drowning blade has his sword in him slouched like he was on the verge of death. There could’ve been a thing where she was going to die but to save her, Dan Feng used Mara to keep her alive.

The theory that I once heard, says that Yingxing (if I'm spelling it right), or maybe it's not her name, well, I mean fox-looking caracter, was Blade's beloved one. And Dang Fang used his rebirth power to ressurect her or maybe Blade. Well, one of them died 🤷♀️ we don't know exactly. But it fits somehow.
