What do you mean the gearbox is slower? My transmission is a generation 1 SHR Viking. Previously I was running a generation 2 Viking transmission back when my jeep just had a Vortech V3 supercharger on it, similar to a P1 procharger. As soon as I did the stroker engine and went with a V2 larger supercharger which is more like a D1X Procharger, The transmission ended up letting go on me again. So I bought a used Gen 1 Viking transmission off of a buddy and it’s been great since. That was back in about 2016. Nowadays you can get away without having a fully built transmission if you get a built valve body. Troy Ding is pretty well known for his valve bodies. I’m still not sure what you mean by slower though if you mean your jeep overall it’s probably because you were still running the stock 6.1 engine. My Jeep on the stock 6.1 with the standard V3 Vortech blower (the smaller one) on about 8-10lbs would get me in the 11’s at about 114-115mph average. After the stroker engine went in (stroked 6.1 to a 392 spec) and the V2 blower went on with about 14lbs its going mid 10’s at about a 132 mph average. Best is still 134mph but those times are all on 94 octane pump gas. If I switched to race fuel or E 85 it would be enough to get into the 9’s anyway. Lots of jeeps have gone way faster though there’s been 8 second WK1 jeeps for almost 10 years now.
It was originally sold by BWoody. They stopped producing it years back and I found someone on Facebook that had a new one. They are hard to find nowadays.
mike Ab Nice, RIPP would be a Vortech V3 head unit. I know of a guy with that kit. If you haven't already and you're on Facebook, you can find us at Alberta GCSRT8 Owners btw 👍
mike Ab sorry man I didn't realize! You are on Facebook right? I thought I saw you there once I should've friended you on the spot lol I'm actually the administrator for the Alberta SRT Jeep page, you should jump on!
I do still have it it’s actually for sale. I’m not really sure on the miles per gallon I go by smiles per gallon lol I can tell you it is generally about 25% less fuel efficient than it was when it was bone stock maybe. It’s honestly not bad considering the performance level I can’t complain
normanmakaio lol you're right that was a typo! Lol I've been sick all week, guess I was out of it haha, I changed it back. Yes 10.62 couldn't hook worth a damn most of my 60's were 1.64-1.67 junky. On the 10.62 I got my best ever 60 foot at 1.58 but it's pretty hard to do much better on street tires, I need DR's! Lol
Lpny71 Lpny71 I bought it off of a random dude on Facebook years ago. Last I heard you could get it on Instagram not sure who is selling it though. It’s called the Stryker hood, BWoody used to sell it as well.
Thing probably is rusted out by now. Jeep is junk quality. Although the engine is cool and I actually think the body is sick along with the looks I wonder how they hold up over time
@@Jdsofar the thing is probably rusted out by now? That sir, is a clown comment 🤡🤦🏻♂️ I actually sold the jeep in July of last year, and it looked incredible when I sold it. Maybe you should look at the most recent videos that were posted just last year before it went to the United States. I miss it terribly and wouldn’t even have sold it if it wasn’t for my family needing things more than I did. Thanks for posting though 😒👍
@@GordonStudent Jeeps are known for being bad quality. Anything Chrysler. There is salt here in Canada on the roads so I figured it would be rusted you know.Dont get me wrong I love them smooch and am looking at buying one im just worried about the quality of it. I dont wanna spend 30k for something that rides like shii or is rusted. Im looking at one with only 90k kms so well see
@@Jdsofar well first I disagree with your assessment on Jeep and was offended by that nasty comment, so when you start by claiming that my beautiful Jeep is probably rusting out by now and that jeeps are junk, expect some flack back in your direction man because that’s straight up rude to come to my channel to say. If you’re serious about buying one and are looking for a daily driver, they are a great daily, but if you’re going to daily drive it in our winters with the salt and crap they put all over the road then you are definitely going to be dealing with rust problems unless you’re taking extremely good care of it and washing it every day. That is the same for any vehicle out there whether it’s an Audi or a Ford or Chevy or a BMW doesn’t matter. You have to take care of them if you’re going to daily drive them in this climate. I drove mine as a daily driver for the first four years I had it and it did a great job, but it’s high maintenance keeping something nice that you drive in the winter. Personally I wouldn’t drive anything that you want to keep really nice in our winters unless you are willing to put in a LOT of work, keeping it super clean and washing it constantly. When I decided to build mine and do an engine and everything else and invest a ridiculous amount of money into it, it never saw winter again. It was parked from November until May. So if you’re looking for my opinion on one that has less than 90,000 km for $30,000 I think that is too high. I think a reasonable amount is probably more like $25,000 if it’s an 2008, 09 or 10 because they are much nicer and have way better interiors than the 2006 and 2007 models. Most of these jeeps (2006-2010) now run anywhere from $16,000 on the low end to about $25,000 on the higher end typically. Good luck with your decision either way but if you think jeeps are junk then it’s simple, don’t buy one dude.
@@GordonStudent Im talking 28k Canadian which seems like a solid price. USD agree would be too much. And ya I have a car wash membership that sprays the underside of the vehicle and often go every other day in the winter so im sure that helps a lot rinsing the salt off other than that I can get chemically sprayed underneath to prevent rust every single year
@@GordonStudent All the other jeeps for sale in Canada have a lot more kms usually 140+ so this is actually one of the lowest in the nation and the guy isn't asking an absurd amount. Seems reasonable actually and I checked every car in the US market and they actually seemed to be priced even more in the states.
I will choose this vehicle over any modern-day SRT
Chill don’t give these people any ideas to our shit if u get one let’s link & roll out .

Hello Bro. I have a 07 jeep SRT8 procharger and the gearbox is much slower. It's yours TCU modified or tuned?
Thanks
