Supporting fresh honeycomb using packing peanuts during transport

  • Earlier this year time was taken to build out some special comb to populate a top-bar hive (as shown in this video - • Top Bar False Floor Nuc ). These frames were split off and moved to a separate apiary and given a queen. After mating, and per the subject of this video, they were returned to the home apiary and installed in the top-bar.
    When the frames were first transported, they were really new and soft and as such one that had honey in it broke during transport. Devised this method to negate any further breakage and it worked perfectly.

    That was very innovative and successful. I like the way you repurposed those peanuts in a way it didn’t affect the quality of honey.
