Ohh, such sweet memories! I had the mom, dad, and baby, the house, and the country store. Their earthy vibe was a much better fit for me than glamorous Barbie. Thanks for sharing your treasures!
They are delightful I am especially smitten with the grandad doll I love the photo of him in the Blythe top. He and the Nan doll would be great as Santa and Mrs Claus.
I think you got a great deal. I had the Sunshine Family of 3 & their nursery room & their Surrey cycle. I mostly played with the baby. Mattel really had it both ways with this, lol. They even released that same baby with a bunch of accessories as a 70s version of Barbie Baby Sits. I also had a little red head baby that I've since learned was a nephew/niece. I've collected all the baby items (Sweets Sunshine, Hon Happy, redhead cousin, high chairs, cradles, tiny bottles & rattles & bears & plates, gowns/robes) to go along with my Barbies collection. Your Grandpa photo shoot is fantastic! lol :)
I find the father particularly scary because it looks like he just has shiny all black eyes! The Grandpa is amazing though - rooted beard and moustache is something all doll manufactures should aspire to give us. You also got this set for a bargain price - many congrats. Loving the redressing of them (especially hipster Grandpa of course).
Thank you! I agree- the dad and grandma are definitely the creepiest. I think the black dolls pull off the dark eyechips much better and still look cute with them, but they're much harder to find.
I had those when I was a little girl. I loved them so much, especially the little baby 😊
I had the Fam. Sunshine when I was a child, you'll be lucky if you have them again! The Sunshine Family is so sweet! 💕
These are great, I love how weird they are. But I have to say, Grandpa is my absolute favorite too! The rooted beard and mustache is unmatched 😆
That's why he's my favourite too! I can't think of many other dolls like him.
I had this set!! There was a dog and cat, too.
I had these when I was a kid and the house too!

Ah I'm jealous! I love their whole theme so much, I don't think I've ever seen it done quite so well on another doll line
That was delightful. Thank you for sharing😊. I've just discovered these and I'm now on the hunt for my own.
You're most welcome! Best of luck finding some, I think they're so cute and charming!

He's definitely the best one, isn't he? I agree, I should get them little festive outfits to display them in! Thank you for your comment
Grandpa in the Blythe clothes, especially the dungarees omfg I’m obsessed with him…grandpa I need you 😍😍😍😍
I am SO happy he fits Blythe clothes! Cutest little old man.

WOW!~ Such fun. ;-) "Let The Sunshine In....".
I am gonna be singing that all day now, haha!
I think I remember a pedestal table, and a brass bed.
Oh I have been wanting these for a while too. Congrats!
Thanks! I was holding out for some with their original clothes and was pretty happy to find a full family!

i used to pull the eyes out and put them back in but that wasn't til a few years later.. about 5... or so... :o
Never got a barbie, had the Sunshine family, Gma, GPA, bicycle, dog and cat house.
The Sunshine Family looks more like The Deranged Family 😛
I need to get them some teeny tiny axes and chainsaws...
@@tutesweet3782 maybe Ken's rifle from his 60s hunting outfit? :O I'm also sure you can find hatchets etc fr GI Joe.
Eek, definitely not my cup of tea! 😅
I like the vintage clothing though and am impressed that they have knee articulation. 💖
I think Dad and Grandma are the worst. I think the round dark eyes look a bit stare-y, especially with the heavy eyebrows.
I had Steve
