I just came from a 150 to 23 300XC. It was the first bike I felt like I was better on after 16 years of the 150. The 150 is great though. But you do have to know how to use the clutch which is a lot of the fun. Enjoy

I've ridden a 2024 ktm 300 with a high compression head and remap and it did run amazing but not too powerful, but I will ride this for a while as she is and if I'm happy with it, I'll stay with how it is
I have the same bike 2024 xcw 300 hard enduro, I freaking love it. Make sure to put a different set of wrap around hand guards, I fell and it broke my clutch lever post. Because it's all connected.
Been there done that too - expensive mistake! Either full on hand guards attached to the handlebars or take off the attachments to the normal guards!! The clutch perch is £180 ish plus hassle if it snaps when you’re out!! New TBI looks mint plus by the way you’re riding it - I want one!!
Bought my 24’ HE in October. Traded in a beta 350 race. Loving the two stroke life and I don’t know why I tried to be different with the beta, it’s no where near as well built as the KTM brands. I’ve ran hard enduro and a hare scramble with the KTM and it’s held up great so far. Plus everytime I go in the garage and look at it I’m in love.

I pulled the trigger on an Hard Enduro and it’s unreal how smoother it is compared to the TPI 300 I have. Definitely getting a TSP head and tuner though.

Have a 2021 300 xcw and am about to TBI kit it along with a fresh top, high compression head and yata yata. Hi and grats for purchase!! Just tested my Hardenduro last sunday also, but in more of a technical bikepark. Everybody loved the thing as we rode with a TPI model, back-to-back so to speak and some Betas. I personally find it a bit of a handfull although it is overall smoother than previous gen. I see that you settled on map2 even it was wet outside. So anyhow I ordered a front 12T sprocket and a rear 50T for it, as I feel I want to lug a bit better in 2nd gear and that the 1st gear is a bit too agressive. Don't get me wrong in trail riding etc. its perfectly fine as it comes with 13T-45T. The pegs are super comfy and the overall feeling is like riding on a magic carpet with best comfort there can be on an enduro bike. Oh, and since I m 78kg and the bike comes with 69N spring I ordered at K-tech a 66N spring see what it does. Even if it will bed in some more , as it comes I can't even touch the ground on tippy toes at my 1.75m.

You would know this better but I have a 1998 Ktm 300 exc they make the same power as the new ones even though it’s carbureted what are the main differences suspension? also you should come to Vancouver Canada that hard over here is crazy
I know, blasphemy, but I vote you don't do a head and remap, just ride it as is for a year. I bet you'll ride better for it. My buddy modded the hell out of his TPI to the point where he was just a worse rider. The greatest benefit of this bike is the power delivery, the smoothness, etc. I won't be modding mine.

I got the XC-W which is just the US version and I absolutely love it. The power delivery and suspension are the best you can get in my opinion.

Absolutely the best 300 KTM has ever produced. I put the medium compression TSP head on and its even better now. Hard enduro weapon💪

Recently got a 2024 300 pro husky and love it only bad thing I have to say is the start/stop switch give it after 6 hours
The dealer you have it from will now have an active Ti for this. The switches are replaced under warranty.

For your riding a low compression head would be better?
The high compression head is the only one that makes the 2024 run better. I did some testing with it
Have a 24 HE, in Aus it comes with br7e plug, throw in a bpr8eix as TSP suggest, cleans it up down low
