When I did this once I ended up with irritation on my forehead. So now I just shampoo it the same way...but then I wash the shampoo out, pat it dry a little, then apply pomade and put my durag on. Waves still look good.
A few questions. 1. does your hair have to be soft because my hair is hard 2. How many times a week should we do this 3. Can we use a medium/soft brush only? 4. What do you do if your pattern messes up when you brush after moisturizing it
Hard hair is even better it stays in black better... Start with brushing everyday to train your hair. This does not work if you don't regularly brush your hair....
when do you put the conditioner on? can it be used as the product at the end or would it need to be washed out? also, is it best to sleep with a durag on or off? (sorry for all the questions, im a total noob!!)
Conditioner is optional, but you can rinse out the shampoo and use conditioner to lay your hair down instead. And watch my wolfing routine video, that’s basically my morning routine
The only easy tutorial, all the other ones was confusing af, but I have a question Since they say only put shampoo 3 times a week, when I don't put it should I put conditioner only with the moisturizer?
I bought some Torino brushes from amazon, and I got an email asking me about it and all this other stuff. But I remember it telling me not to use it in the shower, so I bought a detangling shower brush. Should I use that instead?
I have a question if I shampoo my hair and followed your steps in the video yesterday and if I was going to take a shower do I have to put a shower cap so it won’t mess up my waves
It takes anywhere from 1-2 hours to dry or more depending on how long your hair is. Whole process takes about 20-30 minutes, not including drying. So I would dedicate nights to washing hair, so you can just relax while your hair is drying & shower while rinsing your hair out. Does that make sense?
@@phdinwaves yeah a lot sense. So the brushing is like 20 minutes? Do i need to do it twice a week or every day? And do i need to brush again once i took of the durag in the morning? I dont have waves yet, thats why im asking these dumb questions😅.
I’m here to help! Do this method 1-2 times a week. And once your hair is fully dry, take off the Durag and you can brush normally and go about your day!
I used to the think that that was how people’s hair grew naturally and i was glad mine didnt grow like that but up until earlier this year i learned waves are a hair style not natural lol
I just use a medium brush the whole time. But you can start with a hard brush and end with a soft brush, depending on how long your hair is. Brushes don’t really matter as long as your hair is being pulled.
PhdinWaves I had hella dandruff one day bc im not used to only washing twice a week, so im just curious, is the reason you shouldn’t do it everyday bc of how long this method takes or is it bc you’ll damage your hair in some way

5-10 minutes. 15 minutes max, the shampoo can dry your hair out if it’s in too long
