My father made roads like this in the Canadian Rocky Mountains before he retired. He called it "playing in the mountains". I think I'll show him this video tomorrow, from his hospital bed. He's 87 years old and this will bring back fond memories. Thank you!
We all know a lot of our white hairs came from building these roads. You always hoped creeping the canyon side track in reverse would grab hold of enough soil to get your dozer straightened out.

I am lucky I have a video of his old logging company pulling logs out in the 50's rand TD18's then and used mack and surplus 2.5 ton trucks as log trucks. good video and keep more coming.
Very good work especially by cameraman. Loved seeing the rippers do their thing in unexpected rock on a dirt sandy slope. Saw that you are in Turkey. Wish your country would take Earthquake construction seriously and not let contractors cheapen the work. Cheers and keep on skidding.
Hello friend, thank you for your comments on the earthquake, you know when money talks, the truth always remains silent. Love from Turkey to you and your beautiful country, happy Christmas

Great Video my friend. Having pioneered many a fire road in the forests in southern California, we found a 988 loader with ripper shanks on the rear to be a more productive. Maybe you might be able to try this out in the future. Of course, the amount of rock is also a consideration. Be safe!
Awesome footage. Looks like the mountains of Eastern OR, where I growed up. Same stands of Ponderosa, & doug / white fir. & the soil looks same volcanic / meta make up.
