Thanks so much and all good things to you!
Mike
I hope you have more Pentatonix on the way please
I just love seeing the delight in your eyes when you're totally mesmerized by what your ears are hearing. May I suggest 'Mary Did You Know', it touches my soul.
You might enjoy their cover of Imagine. It highlights the members of pentatonix’s differences but powerful harmonies together. Their newer stuff is crazy-good. They are always outdoing themselves.
The "trio" (Scott, Mitch, and Kirstin) grew up together in Arlington, Tx and have been singing together since about 10 years old, in various choirs and musical theater. At this point, they can read each other's minds.
PTX never disappoints! If you lean toward Broadway... their cover of Can You Feel the Love Tonight is stunning. Their new Christmas album released last week & is half Christmas, half Broadway, all spectacular!
Sound of silence and hallelujah and amazing grace
Since you've reacted to Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence, you should check out Pentatonix's version.
Take a listen to their latest, Amazing Grace. You will be gobsmacked by that one also. Enjoyed and subbed with the hope of more PTX❣️
Very excited to see you finally peeking into PTXworld. I have to say this was an odd place to start, but any door into heaven works just fine. Based on many other reactions I've seen from you, I think you would really enjoy (and have insightful commentary on):
Bohemian Rhapsody
Hallelujah (studio and live)
Sound of Silence
Mad World
Say Something
... so many more
It's not odd if he loves Broadway....
The Pentatonix super power is their arrangements: they make every song sound fresh and amazing. Of course, being freakishly skilled and gifted is key to pulling off those arrangements.
Scott, baritone-bass; Mitch, counter-tenor; Kirstie, mezzo soprano; Matt, lyric bass; Kevin, beat boxer, tenor, genius! Scott went to USC-as did I (school of composition. I studied with Morton Lauridsen individual study!). Kevin graduated pre-med fromYale.
You absolutely must react to their newest video, Amazing Grace. I'll be waiting! 😁
Great reaction and I liked your intro. Please react to more Pentatonix: Mad world, Cheerleader, Hallelujah, The sound of silence, Daft Punk-medley.
just subscribed .Loke your non interrupting style. Welcome back to PTX. Try Sound of Silence or Hallelujah Live by them . Enjoy!!
Awesome thank you!
The issue with that non interrupting style is that he's far more likely to get videos blocked or taken down. It may be better for us, but riskier for him.
Pentatonix - Dog Days are Over from when they were on "The Sing-Off" is amazing.
🌟MORE PENTATONIX🌟
Scott Hoying - (tall blonde guy) baritone, bass, falsetto
Mitch Grassi - (small guy/mullet)
Counter tenor
Kirstin Maldonado - mezzo soprano, alto
Kevin Olusula - beatboxer, tenor, cello
Matt Sallee - bass, baritone
....Avi Kaplan ( original bass from 2011 to end of 2017) bass/basso profundo, baritone, overtone
SUGGEST the 3 songs that won them their Grammys:
Daft Punk medley
Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy
Jolene ft. Dolly Parton
🙏🙏🙏
This group and this song is special. Mental health is so important.
I love your reactions/facials its beautiful to see that when someone that has come up on music they whole life to see them react they way they do to PTX its almost as if they are finding music again in ACAPELLA!! More PENTATONIX PLS 😂
Always nice to see someone almost as grey as me! 😘 Prepare for the onslaught of Pentaholics. There are many PTX songs that will blow your mind (as we used to say back in the day) but I think that you might want to start with Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and follow it with "Hallelujah." No, that wasn't a mistake. There are two huge videos of that song, one that seems to have been filmed in a California desert (which is the official video for the song) and the other version is from an NBC Christmas special and performed live. They have also done amazing covers of John Lennon's "Imagine" and Tears For Fears' "Mad World." They are now starting to move back to originals, the newest are "Happy Now" and "Be My Eyes." Outside of PTX, since you are clearly a fan of great musicals, there are many versions of DEH's "You Are Not Alone" and from the Greatest Showman, there are two videos from the Greenlight sessions to sell the film to the honchos: Keala Settle's "This Is Me" and "From Now On" by Hugh Jackman (though started by Jeremy Jordan.) Both of these also feature a chorus of Broadway's best, including the phenomenal Cynthia Erivo.
Amazing reaction 😍 please more pentatonix 🙇♀️🙇♀️
Just saw this and loved every minute of it! I hope that you have some more Pentatonix reactions coming real soon!!
i LOVE this guy we must protect him at all costs
I highly recommend Voiceplay to listen, they also harmonize so great, I personally like even better. And be sure to watch Geoff Castellucci solo performances, amazing person👏👏👏👏👏❤️👍👍👍👌💥
Loved your reaction ! More Pentatonix please!
Loved it! Matt's baseline is incredible with Kevin's beat boxing. All the vocals are spot on and timing is everything. Great reaction. Happy new subscriber.
7:27 THANK YOU! This deserves a shoutout, I hate it when people pause the video every 5 seconds (to say make some generic comment) - you're ruining the f*cking music. 'Great build up here', well then let it play out!! (I'm aware of copyright issues with letting the original play for too long)
Love how you don’t force a reaction. Very genuine and great reaction. Gained another pentaholic subscriber 🙋♀️. Your smile during the reaction is infectious 😁
One of my favorite things to see is my fiancé when he smiles like he's really enjoying himself. I saw that same smile on your face. I was hooked on your channel. Not to mention the fact that music has always been a big part of my life. (P.S. I just turned 63)
Their newest video...Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) - you won't be disappointed. Be prepared for the flood of Pentaholics who will send you enough material to react for years.
Welcome to Pentatonix, it was a joy to see the smile and look of joy on your face. I am glad you liked them and very excited to see you become a Pentaholic. I have liked and subscribed in hope of more PTX.
i stumbled upon your reaction to disturb's "sound of silence "...
as i've been a fan of this group since they were giving away free cassettes to distribute their music 🙃
and as a voice teacher... the view you bring and the authentic joy you show.... made me enjoy these song and vocalist even more ❣️❣️
You are so refreshing. You don't have to put yourself down. You come across as genuine and I like ya!
I LOVED your reaction so much. And I also enjoyed your commentary before their video started as well. Lol. PLEASE react to more Pentatonix. You should react to Mitch Grassi covering Your Power, and then react to the group in O come all ye faithful. It’ll blow you away!
Yay! My fav band! Thanks! xo
Wow! you're reaction while watching this performance was amazing to me and the best I've seen. Mainly because you were just as in awe as I was because I LOVE Ben Platt's original. Amazing song and an amazing cover.
I love seeing your passion for the music and appreciation of everyone's voices! Looking forward to more PTX and panic! at the disco
I love your ramblings and digressions 😂 keep up the great videos
So much to hear from these awesomely talented people! Please give us more acapella from these guys (try their originals Love again and My favorite, Run to you) but also from Home Free (Burning Ring of Fire featuring Avi, man of constant sorrow are good starts) and Voiceplay ( little mermaid medley, scars to your beautiful and Oogie Boogies Song). Hope to hear more!
Loved the joy on your face. PTX best piece this year is Amazing Grace. 2nd Best is Can You Feel the Love Tonight. Their sound has really matured with the new bass in the last year or so.
And of course, Voctave's work this fall is simply stunning.
If you haven't hear these already, I'd love to see your reaction to their Christmas songs: Mary did you know; Silent Night; Hallelujah; Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen to name a few.
May I suggest reacting to their Christmas covers and Home Free's during this holiday season.
So much yes! I can only recommend "Halleluja" or "That's Christmas To Me"
@@VVolfengard Halleluja is not a Christmas song even if they included it on a Christmas album.
Mr. Goodrich I love your reviews. Please do one of my favorite singers. Israel Kamakawiwoʻole from Hawaii. He is unfortunately deceased but his Somewhere over the rainbow recording is amazing. Word has it he recorded it in one sit down shot.
I agree with you, it is rare to hear such a well balanced band. Their blend is perfect, solos, nuances, enunciation, swells... who needs an instrument when you have such vocal chords and beatboxing talent. Their arrangements are always stellar. Still in awe after almost 10 years. 🤗
You are a delight to listen to
..and I always pay attention to the alto and tenor parts which are usually the most exciting to me but the bass is incredible!!
those first 3 minutes are exactly why we are here man!!
Check out their cover of Hallelujah or Sound of Silence!
Loved this reaction - hope you do more PTX songs - I have subscribrd in the hope you do - they are amaxing
If this is your first time listening to Pentatonix you have a lot to learn about these Grammy winners lol. This is the first song in a lonnnnggggg time that they sound the way they did before Avi left. Avi really rounds out their sound and allows Scott to be in his regular register instead of having to be lower cuz the replacement can't always hang lol.
Suggestions? Geeze anything before 2017 is bomb. Hallelujah is probably their most popular nowadays. But the Grammy was for Daft Punk. And Kevin better be making more money then all of them. The beats that boy lays down!
I keep forgetting how good this cover was! I haven't seen it in a while so thank you for bringing back into my sight line. I feel like you could be a southerner because your discourse is so home town family style that you belong sitting at the table with my family at dinner. Tangents are so much fun and I guess that's why you made me giggle because your thoughts are spoken just like what I grew up on. Enjoyed this and newly subbed because, well, family sticks together.
Hallelujah, Mary Did You Know, Mad World, Sound of Silence ASAP!! 🙂🙃
love the reaction, hungry for more now :D
You should really react to their Halleluja cover, live or video, it's wonderful and really shows off more of their voices. Ooo or maybe their Amazing Grace that one is really Awesome!
How are we not best friends? You are so funny. Awesome.
Rob Halford is a Living LEGEND. How much time for a simple react?
He loves popular Bands, maybe for a RUclips Button
Thank you for your reaction. Please do more Pentatonix. May I suggest Imagine, Hallelujah, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Bohemian Rhapsody, Mary Did You Know, Amazing Grace (I know you've heard it a million times, but this one is very special), one of their originals called Run to You and Sound of Silence.
Pentatonix Hallelujah
Try their latest “Prayers for the World”. New album to be released in October 2022.
They really are getting better. I can’t get enough. I’ll certainly subscribe if you’re going to react to more Pentatonix. ☮️💟😷
Scott went to USC but dropped out for The Sing Off.
Please react to the live version of "I Couldn't be more in love" by The 1975, is AMAZING ❤️❤️
Listen to the group Straight No Chaser....awesome
Not only Nightwish and our Floor but also Pentatonix? Welcome to the next rabbit hole!
I want to share with you my most favorite singing video ever. one which I know you will appreciate. The name of the video is Kodi Lee Golden buzzer.
Kodi is blind and autistic and has a real singing talent
Thank you for reacting to PTX. They are amazing. That stunned look on your face spoke volumes. Please check out their "Seasons Of Love" audio from new Christmas album. No video for it yet. Fun fact, Ben Platt covered PTX original song "Can't Sleep Love". Rearranged, still awesome. ruclips.net/video/pr_faPa7A4Q/видео.html
YOU made me wanna subscribe. 😁
👍⭐ I love your content, your personality & getting to know you. Even though you chasten yourself. Your positivity is infectious. Thanks Mike. 🤗 💖
Id love to see your reaction on voiceplays oogie boogie song.
they have one of the best bass singers and awesome synergy
if you want more from the bass singer after that id suggest the headless horsemans by geoff castelluci
This and many other voiceplay pieces like queen and little mermaid and panic at the disco.
Pentatonix fans are certainly OK with pauses because if you don't pause on some of their videos, your reactions will get blocked.
I miss your reactions! I hope you're OK.
Great insights! Do try their rendition of John Lennon's 'Imagine' for an enlightening performance, which shows their individual strengths and sensitivity to Lennon's message, updated to the present day!
If your a fan of '60s music check out the MonaLisa Twins. They have covered a lot of songs from that era and their original music is in that style.
Remember... PTX doesn't do covers... They only do upgrades!
Not sure if you've done this but Pentatonix cover of Hallelujah is amazing.
We need some King Diamond reaction!
Video starts at 3:05
You're royalty to your fans!
Can pianos feel lonely? I only ask this question when I see Pentatonix performing in a room with a piano.
Lol I can't with this intro. Haha but I subscribed
Dear please please please react to 10 Times Céline Dion's Vocals Had Me Shook Part 2 !!!
#CelineDion
Do a full reaction as William Shatner. Dare ya. Lol.
3:00 ...sshheeesshh...omg
Could you do a reaction to any of the Poets of the Fall "Alexander theater Sessions", please.
Please check out 15 year old Angelina Jordan. Multi genra, jazz, blues and pop. She won Norway's got Talent at 8 years old. Check her out! React!
Mary, Did you know?" is one of their best. You can see the official video here: ruclips.net/video/ifCWN5pJGIE/видео.html
please react to "slaughter to prevail demolisher"
In my humble opinion this is one of their less memorable pieces. They sing great, the song just does nothing for me. Still, I'm a dedicated Pentaholic. Listen to them do "Havana" or "Mary Did You Know". They put a lot of power into those, or "Mad World" which is kind of quietly mystic sounding but you get the full effect of their blending. And of course, their premier best example is still Hallelujah. They can't be topped on that one. I enjoyed your enjoyment.
Sounds like Walter white

Bohemian rhapsody, sound of silence and amazing grace always have the best reactions!
I respect your not stopping
PLZ PENTATONIX HALLELUJAH AND AMAZING GRACE BOHEMIAN RAPHSODY AND MARY DID YOU KNOW PLZ PLZ PLZ xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I would love to see you react to Avi Kaplan, the original bass with Pentatonix. He was with them from their formation in 2011 to compete on The SingOff until 2017 when he left for personal reasons, and has now started a solo career. The parting was amiable, and he even helped find their new bass, Matt Sallee. Avi has an absolutely beautiful voice and he now has an opportunity to shine. Change on the Rise, an anthem of a song, is the one most people recommend to start with. In almost, if not all of his songs, Avi sings all the voices, including the almost subsonic low notes. He is an acknowledged perfectionist and has released alternate versions of several of his recent songs. Most of his music is original. When he includes a video, they are usually stunningly beautiful. He is also an excellent photographer, and it shows in the videos. Please check him out.
You should do Sound of Silence and Mad World.
I love your reactions to Pentatonix. They are awesome at anything they do. ❤
I hope you react to more Pentatonix, so nice to see people with knowledge and experience reviewing their songs.
Please react "Pinjam Peluk" by Agseisa.... Thanks...
