Man is this special, wow. RIP Wood, Bob n Bernie…. So thankful the cameras rolled in the 90s capturing this era. Mule was an unstoppable tsunami by 99…whole bunch of new stuff that would appear on LBI. Woody had SERIOUS presence…. This is next level w the inclusion on Sheehan n the legend himself Mr Worrell 🎶

Bobby and Woody just fly in the thinnest of air under Warren's perfect tone. This is majestic. Miss ya Bob (20 years) and Woody (19 years) this week. Thanks again for keeping this one up. Gets me through this sad anniversary week every year.

And of course the heart and soul of their heart and soul and all-time music legend and one of the many fathers of funk... RIP Bernie all time legend--who both of the aforementioned men would certainly say made them who they were...this is a truly special performance

Big Alan on guitar!🎸☮️ What a talent. Saw him play this very double neck bass guitar combo in Knoxville. Guitar then bass solo. Bass thumped so loud you could feel it at top of amphitheatre. String Cheese Incident, Galatic, Moe, and Govt Mule. What a show.

Awesome venue. I saw Eric Clapton acoustic there with a couple hundred people & a jazz club setup, with tables on the dance floor, so you could walk right past the stage within 20 feet of Clapton. Saw Govt Mule before anyone (including me) knew who they were at a tiny place in Jericho, NY that didn’t even have a stage. They had them tucked in a corner. I think the Allman’s were playing in Manhattan, so Warren & Woody & the boys did this small gig to get them off the ground. Wish I knew a the time, I didn’t even recognize them there.

I miss Bobby a lot. It was great to see the band's initial uprise through his eyes. He always just liked to hang out and chill out, he like jerry had an ability to hang with all shapes and sizes.

Did he sing, "They offered life in sacrifice, so the others would know what's wrong." ? I like that...

And the women all were beautiful
And the men stood straight and strong
      They offered life in sacrifice
So that others could go on

@@BluesTravelerArchive that is the written lyrics. But both Warren and Grace Potter have been known to substitute lyrics related to the meaning of the sacrifice rituals.
