opening of the second movement really reminds me of the beginning of the rite of spring!
Buenisimo
That recording shows a mastry of the horn. I tried playing along with the slow movement, but after that, all I could do was watch the notes go by.
Best part 2:13Oh and literally all of the second movement. Literally gold written on a piece of paper.
Dayam now that's some quality Tuba playing
Wonderful😮
First Movement- 0:03Second Movement- 3:33Third Movement- 7:09
big respect to the pianist as well, it's a tricky piece to play
oh my gosh it is so beautiful music... and i´m not stoned now... :)
now that's a piece that fully shows off the tubas range in all its glory xD
Nice!!
Круто!
🤩🤯💥
Concerto No. 3 for Tuba and Orchestra by Leroy Osmon (Xalapa Sym Orchestra)
Shades of Gershwin! Blue notes galore. Beautiful
Also, this is FUNNY. Chuckles galore too.
Tuba goes Salvador Dali.
This piece looks like a flexibility and high range nightmare.

0:55Really funny to me
Was New Orleans written before this or after this. Becouse it has the same theme.
Pelle Van Esch I’d like to know too, some exact quotes too
This was written in 1967, New Orleans was written in '62
The score isn't easy xD, but it's very beatifull
Is this played on an F Tuba?
Probably...
If the person is playing on a contrabass tuba, hell... But prolly an F/Eb. Imma go with F since it sounds brighter than an Eb. It was originally written for the French C Tuba. I may try it on mine eventually, but the low notes are a bitch.
А ГДЕ МУЗЫКА?
А Вы вслушайтесь. Не сравнивая с Бетховеном и Шопеном, конечно :)
