Hi Scott i hope you are well. I just run into this video of yours when the pandemia started. Very moving. I am glad it is over. I am really glad to see that you are so “saxesfull” and inspired in your work. I have great memories from our time in Boston. I just recolect some of the tape cassetes from that time when we did the duos and quartets with Jun Saito and Keishi Ishibasi. I remaster them and love to share them with you. Kepp in touch All my love❤
I have this Eddie Harris book (somewhere). I always enjoyed playing through it and stumbling upon parts of tunes that I knew of, and discovering many new phrases that I would eventually realize were from tunes I had just heard/learned. Thanks for playing memories.
Hey Scott. Wonderful to hear you speak and play. Like having a visit with a great friend...which you are. This is a very odd book, as you say, but while the contents are full of familiarity here and there, the juxtaposition of phrases is quirky and fresh. Really great of you to share this and I echo your wishes back to you. Stay safe, stay well, keep the music going and I can't wait to hear you play live as soon as possible!!!
I should have bought that book years ago instead i bought the Yusef Lateef book repository of scales and melodic patterns. Love your videos and playing scott really inspirational
Hello from Switzerland, I wrote a book about Eddie's Music Life, a big discography, 6 years work, but I'm very happy with the book. Sincerely Peter Tschirky (Autor of the Eddie Harris book "Eddie Harris sings the Blues)
Already did a whole installment on the bass sax! As well as slide sax, F mezzo, sarrusophone, etc. etc. Please visit sciensonic.net/LabMemberships.cfm to join the Laboratory and access the nearly fifty videos posted there!
