A great kit, I wear mine in a very similar way, everything is very well explained. The important thing is to have fun and enjoy a suit, not everything in life is 501st.
Thanks for detailed upload of the shore trooper outfit.. I'm currently trying to make my own but the armor will be mostly made out EVA foam. I pre-ordered my magazine holder it's going to be here in a few weeks. Currently working on the helmet. I'm not going to make it 100%, 501st quality but just something for me.
We used CA glue, as well as bondo for seams. We even lightly added a resin coating to strengthen areas. As far as painting goes, after sanding, we used filler primer, and then a coat of black, coat of brown and then a coat of the sand color.
I'm just starting this build and need to know if I should scale the model up or not for my body build. How tall are you and what size pants are you wearing so I have an idea. Appreciate it! Looks fantastic
Hello! I am 5-11 and aprox 170lbs. I left everything at 100% (Sean fields) EXCEPT the forearms and biceps, which I did test rings (I believe I did a video on this) The helmet I printed at 105% I also ordered a pair of Russian military pants that I dyed brown - I took a shot getting them off the internet and they just happened to fit, but I am normally a 32-34 waist and 34 length.
You have a very cool costume here. Somehow, I believe that no-one in Star Wars ever takes off his or her armor. Not enough squires available...be it Stormtroopers, Mandalorians, Shoretroopers, Sith, Clone Troopers...does not matter. Never get out of your armour - you will need five hours on your own to put it back on. By then, the fight will be over.;)
The armor, soft goods and accessories were made by my wife and I. We use our 3D printers for the hard armor. This is the Sean Fields version kit which can be found online for free.
@@GalacticForceMedia awesome! Do you happen to have a link for it?😁 I've looked through their whole website, but I can't seem to find the one that looks like yours. The help would be much appreciated!
Took a look as well. It appears to be out of stock - but here is the link! www.backcountry.com/stoic-ottoman-rib-pullover-womens?cmp_id=EM_BC-ShipConfirm
The weathering process we used was a 3 layer paint (primer / black paint / brown paint / sand color paint) and after drying / curing; we used a small chisel and 80 grit sand paper to “remove” areas we wanted to be appear to be weathered We then went over the whole armor with a brown and black wash
Appreciated! While we were making the suit, we referenced a lot of screen shots and the Facebook group “shoretrooper fam” and some of the builds blew us away. Not sure if would pass 501st, but to the ordinary Star Wars fan (and non fan) they seem to love it!

Have fun with the build! Should be a good time putting it all together.
What do you use to assemble the helmet? And how many stages are there for painting?

Chest needs to come down. Apart from that. Go 501st. Looks good to me.
Actually added a snap/strap that keeps the chest where it belongs now. Lots of moving parts! 501 maybe one day 🤷🏽♂️
Wow looks great!! I wish i had 3 3d 🖨.
They have since come down in price and are extremely affordable now. Take a look at the ender 3
I might be deaf or something oike that but I didnt understand where you got the pants from?
My wife found an old pair of Russian officer pants off poshmark and we dyed them brown.
