- Hey there! In this video, I am sharing my 15 month update on my Sisterlocks! I am sharing my thoughts regarding the length/thickness of my locs, my grey hair, postpartum shedding, my game plan for my hair this year, and how my hair "feels" right now.

Hey Joy! And Happy bday to yooooou! 30th? Your hair is so pretty and 👏😮your hair growth is awesome! I'm a little over 8 months and I LOVE MY HAIR!! I am now getting increasingly more compliments and lots of glares from people who are trying to figure out what is going on with my hair.. WELL gray hair for me is OK I guess cause just turned 60 UNBELIEVABLE to me😬 at times! You are doing what I do as far as working out. Prior to Covid I had a personal trainer and lost nearly 50 lbs I gained a little but in a few months I am going phase 2 to lose rest of weight. I'm size 12, 5'7 and goal is single digits. So Thinking about personal training versus group training. I have also been on plant based eating journey for 2 years and loving that part of my journey... SO anyhow, I love the path you're taking as I am doing similar...staying FIT..❤ and being the best version of myself.

We definitely sound like we are on the same wellness journey too! I have lost 8 pounds since starting to work out this past month and it's been very validating and exciting!c thank you for sharing that 😊
Your hair looks great! I'm just over 5 months in on my SL journey. Frizz is my biggest issue right because I'm back to working out and I mostly sweat from my head. Like a waterfall situation 😄😁😅🤣😂😁
Thank you! Oh wow. Yes I sweat from my head a lot too but I only work out for about 30 minutes at a time so the sweat stops at a certain point. Have you asked your loctician for any suggestions on how to manage the sweat in your locs from working out?
I dont care, I dont care what THEY say, but I think loctitians do some kind of sorcery on our hair!! lol... like I never had grey hair until i got sisterlocks, and now theyre all on my edges and baby hairs!!! 😂

lol I agree I’m 18 mos Sisterloc’d and I have gray hairs popping up all over my head! Especially in my front edges.
