I used to dog sit for a friend that lived in the country, when her other friend in the country moved to the states. She always joked with me that I was "the weakest link" with the dog, as I spoiled her quite a bit, but (huge but!) I trained that girl to actually walk nicely on a leash, sit at the crosswalk until we got the correct 'beep-boop' sound (walk vs stop in my city), and not chase small dogs and squirrels. I may have spoiled her rotten, but I taught her how to behave in the downtown of a big city! When they moved to Montreal, she thanked me profusely. "Weakest link", my arse :)
Archer and Leia are so different. Archer has this look in his eyes that is so Jack London/Call of the Wild. He has the look of his ancestors in his eyes. It is very kind of him to let you think you are the boss in your house. They are both so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your life with them, very uplifting content.
I've said it once, I'll say it again, and 100 million times more ... I will GLADLY hand over my ENTIRE $943 check to come and spend JUST ONE HOUR with the "Monster Husky Butts" and watch you interact with them and give them cuddles and snuggles and treats! I LOVE your posts, as they help me with grieving the loss of my "silly butt baby" Zoey. And that I want to thank you for! It's been hard to smile lately between loosing Zoey (lost her in Nov 2023) and my health issues (18 weeks in patient over 11 months and 8 hospitals in 3 States with 6 surgeries having to have my collar bone and first rib removed all due to a very resistant bone infection) But your videos of your adventures with Archer and Leia have been able to help me smile again! I just wanted to let you know how much joy your videos bring to me.....and how much I appreciate you posting them! (To be clear Zoey is a 6yr old brindle boxer/Great Pyrenees....she didnt die, but had to be rehomed due to my health issues....she had been my baby since before she was even born...as her mom was my mom's dog and her dad was my sister's dog....so i was there from the beginning.....)

I have a husky shepherd X and she has a very similar vibe to Leia. I ended up calling her Leia the other day while we were on a walk and had a little laugh at myself

Granted, if i was going to be letting my dog be home alone (& that dog was known to break out of their doggy jail cell) I would have cleaned EVERYTHING up. Although, maybe Baker also ate his doggy care instructions saying he should have been kept in the crate, too. Hope you guys are staying safe on this VERY windy day (at least up here in Sno county! Its lookin' like were about to be OZ bound!)
I think it’s so weird when people don’t let their dogs go on their couches and beds. I absolutely love when my doggo comes up on my couches and beds to cuddle with me…it’s the best feeling in the world. 🥰❤️🐶
We have two couches and my dog is allowed on one and has always been good about it. I like to have at least one couch not covered in dog hair. And I also don't want my dog getting my bed dirty and smelly. He's allowed on the guest bed.
It's not a bad thing to establish boundaries with your dog. It should be a case of "This bed and sofa belongs to me, not you." And that they're allowed up but only when you give them permission to do so. The permission is positive reinforcement because they get lots of cuddles when they behave and stops them jumping straight on to guests via the sofa. ^-^ And don't get me wrong, I adore puppy hugs! To the point where my mum's dogs hug me back with a head hug (or headbutt if they move too quickly), haha!
@@ArtzyZero I also can take my dog to hotels and AirBnBs with no dogs on furniture policies because he stays off until given permission (I give him permission, if the place allows dogs on furniture, might as well let him be comfy)

I simply said that my personal opinion is that it’s weird to me…and I qualified it by saying that I love my doggo on my couches and beds, with the specific reason being that I enjoy cuddling with Duke. I’m sure there are people that will read this comment and think that I’m weird ‘cause I let Duke go wherever he wants in my home. And I welcome their opinions ‘cause I enjoy hearing other points of view. Will they sway me? Probably not at this moment, but maybe in the future as circumstances are ever changing in life. In the end, we should all do what makes us happy with our canines, provided they’re being cared for and are safe and healthy…who cares if others think it’s weird or strange? I know I don’t. 😁

Front-clip harnesses are ok for short periods of time to teach doggies not to pull but they’re bad long term, they can cause orthopaedic issues (shoulder misalignment among others) because they kinda force dogs to walk weirdly as a side effect, just in case you don’t know
