This was Teresa in the top music award ceremony in Japan. She won the top Japanese music award for 3 consecutive years in the mid-80's, and held that record for 16 years. If you ask me, her highest accomplishment was the lady herself. All my life, I have never heard anybody say he or she doesn't like, let alone hate Teresa Teng. In this hateful world where hate is embedded in so many people, you'll have to admit she's indeed a rarity.
basically, she is very lovely in every aspect. but as what you said 'In this hateful world where hate is embedded in so many people', she had a 'vulnerability of being hated' bc of her waishengren background. this is very rare case, but i've ever found someone who hated her. don't get me wrong, i like her very much and she is like a role-model to me (although i am not a ladylike; in fact i am far from that); i learn many interesting things from her stories and i like her music which runs deep directly into soul. but i need to be objective 'no one hated her' is irrelevant, sorry to say

This title prize is deserved to the best Vocalist in all music of Teresa Teng. I do appreciate this great honour to Teresa Teng and is remarkable for long.
