- In this video I transfer the first swarm capture of 2023 to another box. They're drawing the empty frames very good. I also make an inspection of a recent split made using a double screened bottom board. Took some stings but was totally my fault. Hives are too close together. Should have had on appropriate protective equipment

That one got me good!!!! Familiar saying around the bee yard
Thank you Ray! I got that saying from the Walls Bee Man. Always made me laugh. Lol.
Looking good Johnny , nice looking swarm.
Thanks so much Brad for watching and commenting!
looking good brother!!!
Thanks brother! I'm gonna split the heck out if that mean hive and try to let 'em make their own queens from the eggs of a kinder, gentler hives. Lol.
Good looking swarm Johnny. Them girls were lighting you up lol
Lol. I always got tickled when the Walls Bee Man would say "ooh, that one got me good". Thank you kindly Tim for watching and commenting. I hope you and your dad are having a great season!
Good stuff Johnny. I dont risk it without long sleeves at least. Iv seen beekeepers offset those boxes a little when they spin the boxes to give the foragers a place to return. Not sure what the long term soloution is. Maybe pull them back together at night.
Great advice! Thanks brother!
I think your bug is an earwig but it was a little hard to see it on the camera shot I have them get in mine in NC as you stated they don’t multiply or harm bees just finding a dry place to hang out.
Yes! That's exactly what it is. So glad to know. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!!
Never saw the double screen board.
It is the bottom board on the colony. I didn't have video separating them. Confusing for sure. I didn't explain on video. Thanks for watching and commenting.
