😱✂My BIG CHOP - 18 month transition journey !

It's the BIG CHOP today!!! It's been a learning curve and a fun journey but after 18 months it's time to say goodbye to my relaxed ends. The breakage was starting to NOT be worth it and I'm just ready. My mom has been relaxing my hair reluctantly for years (and has been natural for YEARS) so it's only fair that I let her cut it 😍😍
I used the Pomegranate & Honey line from Mielle for my final Wash&Go but I might need to switch because it feels very casty when dry 🤔

Your hair is beautiful! That was a really nice length to cut it at. I'm currently at 14 months. Trying to make it to 2 years but I'm getting impatient so 18 months might be the magic number :)

I am 14 months too and hoping to make it to 2 years too but in reality anywhere in between 18-24 months. Time will tell 😬 so nervous already.

@@cindyt7230 Ayee, we got this! I'm definitely not going to make it to 2 years after conditioning yesterday-- I was so tempted to just chop off the straight ends! A summer chop is in my future for sure and I'm excited. Just a few more protective styles in between lol

My hair is really short in the back then it is in the front...kinda insecure about my own hair because its so dry and seemingly thin at the ends.

It's not unusual to have courser hair in the back so you might want to pay more attention to it in your product application and hair massaging! Don't be insecure girl I'm sure you're gorgeous!!

My texture looks similar to yours in the transitioning state. I plan to cut my relaxed ends off soon! I’ve been considering chipping in sept. 2018! That makes two years post relaxer but I may do it sooner.
