- For the last 80 years there's no place that Lyubov Morekhodova would rather be than on Lake Baikal in southern Siberia. The sprightly senior lives on the western shore of the world's largest freshwater lake.
Ice skating is Lyubov Morekhodova’s passion. When she straps on the steel blades she’s used for decades, she’s just as nimble as ever. Baba Lyuba - as she’s fondly called - looks after four dogs, five cows, two calves and four chickens. But whenever she’s not caring for them, she takes to the ice. Lake Baikal is often frozen over for six months of the year and the octogenarian believes skating on it is the secret to her longevity. The world’s deepest lake is her deity; she has more faith in its powers than in the miracles of Jesus, whose birth is currently being celebrated around the globe.

I think she's adorable. She lives life on her terms. Doesn't need the church's help for determining her moral principles. Bless her heart. May she skate until she is 100+. I hope her children come to see her more often.
She is such an inspiration in many ways : being old and living alone, living in the brutal cold, living active , taking care of pets and animals, living happy... Whenever unhappy, should go back and watch her for inspiration.

Why can't we? I do follow and we live in a free world, so everbody can, if they want to. The problem is, they don't want to or they are afraid...I don't know, but I think it's time for people to realize, that they live in paradise and we have to live together with mother nature in peace.

(28) This Our Record speaks about you with truth. Verily, We were recording what you used to do (i.e. Our angels used to record your deeds). (29) Then, as for those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and did righteous good deeds, their Lord will admit them to His Mercy. That will be the evident success

Her skates are as old as I am, I was born in 1943 HAHA, and they are in better shape than I am too. They still work. She has a beautiful couch cover.

Personal Life Stories like this video have so much more value than just simple entertainment. Looking into the Life of this Charming Lady who makes the most of her simple life allows us to see how other people live on so little. I hope there some good hearted men near by to give this Dear Lady a helping hand.

I may not agree with her philosophy, but I agree she has the freedom to choose her own belief. We can not and must not try to force our ways upon another. There remains the ethical laws of being human. Hers is do no one any wrong. I wonder where she learned that? It would be a good thing if all would keep that in mind when choosing our own actions.

I respect Baba Lijuba for her ability to think and decide for herself what is right and I find such beauty and inspiration in her free spirit and warm brilliant smile. Her beliefs on equality and tolerance and embracing others in the moment and as they are in order to live a fulfilling and contributory life to humanity and the earth are very much in line with what I feel is true about life as well. Well, I did notice how she seems to be permanently stooped over… And she sure did say that her back, it looks like the lower, hurts, from her work, and I’m sure the ice-skating affects it also! I am headed this way! I have a bad lower back, and it can be quite painful! I think it is hurting her.
