What an incredible playthrough so far!! You have so quickly picked up on the two biggest tenets of this game: be curious and gather information!! I feel like I see so many other playthroughs where people find something they can't get through and they quickly shift into puzzle-solving mode, just trying to generate an answer on their own while not actually going out to seek the knowledge that the game provides you. This game requires puzzle-solving, of course, but very rarely are you expected to just solve something without reading the relevant information first. You are thankfully not falling into that pattern. I love seeing you be curious!

"[...but physically well, Annona;] // [everyone survived the crash]" vs
"[...but physically well,] // [Annona; everyone survived the crash]"
It's quite a common occurence in the text logs and everyone that reads them out loud seems to read it in the opposite way that it's written. Not that it really changes the context in any way, it's just a weird little quirk

    Anna: "This game is crazy".
Kojima: "Am I a joke to you?"
If you like space games, why not give Prey (2017) a go? One of the most under-rated games ever. More a classic shoot/stealth space game with character buildup/skilltrees, and heaps of lore to read out loud with a bunch of different storylines to connect. It's pretty straight forward as far as games go, but have many unique aspects to it.
Or, if you like movies and games, and especially if you like Kafkaesque stories like Twin Peaks, why not give Death Stranding (Kojima) a go? While it is a slow burn, especially in the beginning 10 hours or so (tutorial area), the story progresses into more and more wackiness as you go on. Being Kafkaesque in it's delivery, using metaphors to deliver a philosophical message, yeah, this game isn't for everyone. More than once, during the intro and prologue, did I hear from players "am I on drugs or something"? While the world itself is semi-open, the story progression is extremely linear. Being centered around delivering packages - as odd as that seems - the game has a strong focus on terrain traversal and deep mechanics to support that. Being extremely weird and unique, it might not gather as much viewers as Outer Wilds or Prey. DS1 trailers may contain minor spoilers, but trailers for upcoming DS2 must be avoided at all cost. Ask friends who "got it" and enjoyed it for input, or watch YongYea's non spoilery video on it, if interested.

As a musician who can play the theme song on piano, I unfortunately agree with this... 😂

What gets me is that she's singing a coda and everyone else is playing a loop.

I like how it's become a kind of goldfish mind wipe. She's jetpacking somewhere with a goal in sight, having an internal monologue, then hmm hmm hmm ta da da da da dara da and mind empty, not a single thought in sight :D

I wish she'd played this on Twitch or something, and allowed chat to back-seat her at least a little bit. She is just making so many incorrect assumptions (like expecting there to be some kind of gear/ability progression), not picking up on things that are mentioned/implied and then just forgetting other things that she did learn.
Like I feel it's weird that she had no real reaction regarding 39:40 and the conversation that preceded it. Feels like it just didn't register to her and she just kept going.
I really hope that things start clicking in her mind soon, so she is not just randomly filling out a checklist all the way to the end.

Came here to say this. It was....frustrating.

Not Twitch. Not without full moderation. Not this game. The constant backseating drives me away from watching. Watching others struggle, with different problems, is the true way to re-experience this. She did the tower puzzle like it was nothing, many struggle with this one, and it's often pure determination and stubbornness that causes them to stumble on how to do it. Other upcoming puzzles she already figured out, if she remembers it will be another thing.
While its more enjoyable to watch players discover all the lore and be very observant - missed a bunch in Sunless City, simply by moving too fast and not looking properly - they're not "necessary" to complete the game and understand the story. I've seen players complete the game without understanding how a certain thing works, just like she is, and one (CeresFauna) even missed WHS for the entire playthrough (don't spell it out loud, you know what I mean - can't remember atm if she's done it).

While I understand frustration, I think it's only natural when person who already played the game watches another one, who is first time playing game that is all about knowledge, but disagree on the twitch thing. The whole point of this game is exactly that, finding things out, sure when somebody is hard stuck, some little push might help, but twitch would be way too much IMO.

This is the natural human instinct to share knowledge with others, which is usually a very good thing. But specifically for Outer Wilds, backseating literally takes bits of the game away from the player and robs them of those lightbulb moments of realization. IMO, it's only okay to give a hint if the person keeps repeating the same things over and over in frustration instead of thinking in a productive way. And even then it might be best for them to take a break and return later, maybe they'll even think on it and figure something out in the meantime.
Also, people are not machines with perfect memory, instant total recall and laser vision. People absolutely have a right to not notice things, get distracted and forget stuff. At this point I watch OW playthroughs like a study of human behavior, "I wonder what she decides to do here, hmm weird, never seen anyone do that before. Will she notice this thing? Welp, maybe next time, it's required for the ending anyway. I wonder how long it'll take her to realize this" and so on.

I totally get it, as this is maybe the most oblivious playthrough I've been able to sit through.
However, I think she still has the right to her amazingly oblivious playthrough with no spoilers or backseating😂
(also I have my mum in my head saying ""she" is the cat's *mother*!" as it's kinda weird that Anna's name is not mentioned at any point in this or any acknowledgement she may eventually read her own comments)
