The cue "And Then I Kissed Him" from Pearl Harbor is also a wonderful piece by Hans. While "Tennessee" is often the cue most associated with the movie, this one is usually overlooked but very romantic and lovely. Would love to see your rendition if you agree.

Jacob is one of my favorite piano artists because not only does he do his own compositions, but he really takes time to bring his own spin on classic pieces. When he said he was doing 5 pieces from the works of Hans Zimmer I hoped and prayed he would perform a cue from The Last Samurai. One of the fastest clicks to a video for me.

This gave me goosebumps from the first few notes, in the next few notes it made my eyes tear up. That is a rare thing to happen for me. Wow, just wow. What a beautiful rendition.

I'm not Japanese, I'm just an ordinary person, but I have deep feelings about this music. Even though the samurai are gone today, their souls and spirits still burn in my heart. I can still feel how loyal they are to their master, family, friends and principles. I can still feel what it's like to lose a lot of things and then be forgotten by many people, in order to get something newer in their lives. The way of life of the samurai will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who love the culture and the old era (history). But to be honest... Imagining myself in those times, accompanied by this music, it feels like... I can't express the pain I feel... this is very touching.
