Sorry guys but this machine has too many design flaws to impress people familiar with ECM, Rocket, Lucca or Profitec. I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for Sanremo Roma and other commercial models but your first forray into home espresso market is, as James Hoffmann would put it, less than ideal. 🙂
Just bought a Quick Mill Aquila which is a beautiful machine and has all these features without the WiFi for less than half the money of this. Can't say I think I made the wrong choice to be honest..... I think this cube might appeal to the home fashionista but not the real coffee enthusiast.
You can get an e61 dual boiler and a decent grinder for the price of this machine. Pretty disappointed Sanremo is hopping on the fashionista bandwagon tbh.
Beautiful machine, I like the idea of the E61 lever going upwards as the standard E61 lever can foul on cups. For the price tag, I would of hoped for a dual boiler though. The San Remo Commercial line are amazing machines in form functionality. This has to rival some other cool tech for the price tag, like dual boilers and even pressure/flow profiling machines.
Yeah they claim to have "E61 themosiphon group with mechanical pre-infusion". It's made possible by the way E61 group heads are designed. Here is a video: ruclips.net/video/2jn28YTS3OQ/видео.html by Seattle Coffee Gear that show the internals of a E61 group head and inside a heat exchange boiler and shows how the thermosiphon works.
Thank you for the run through of the Cube! Appreciate seeing more of this machine in action. Love the colour and design options available. The rounded edges and spacing of the steam / hot water provides a fresh look to the shiny stainless box e61 machine market. Not sure if it was just the angle of the video but the brew leva seems to partially obscure the shot timer. Does the Cube have cool touch steam wand? What's the speed like on milk steaming and for making back to back shots for a small office scenario?
Hey, glad you enjoyed the video. The Sanremo Cube machine doesn't have a cool touch steam wand. Because it is a heat exchange machine you can expect the steam power is not quite as strong as a dual boiler. None the less, it does heat up the milk quite fast. The design is quite nice and aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. We aren't quite sure why the brew lever was made to go upwards towards the PID. Hopefully they see this as a design fault and amend this in the future CUBEs. This machine would be more than enough for an office scenario.
Nice machine, but from a design perspective, i think that the design of the brew lever when in brew position blocks the digital timer. It would have been much better if they designed it in the traditional way (brew lever starts from a downward position, and goes up mid-way when brewing the shot)
I wonder why companies still use this obselete grouphead! I don't think it is that expensive to use a small boiler connected directly to a better grouphead or over it.
Oh man! I had really high expectations on this beautiful machine but unfortunately the design far outweighs the specs. 1.9lt HX boiler, no cool touch wand (plus limited range of motion), super small and flimsy water tank, etc. I think i'll just stay with my San Remo Capri for a veeery long time.

I love how the group lever blocks your view of the shot timer. Very innovative.
Are you really that small?
@@LowsHand he has a point
So beautiful! Hope one day to wake up to this every morning at home 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for reviewing the CUBE guys! Can't wait for people to try it themselves at home, in the office, or in their local shop 🥰

Really pretty! I’ve never liked the looks of E61 machines, but this is one really good looking machine.
I agree!

Great point!
Great review of the Cube. I have one question. Does it support pre-infusion?

Fun unboxing !

That flickering/running numbers LCD with ADHD would drive me bonkers.

Totally agree

Is heating up time really 10 min??
What's the grinder your using
As a HX machine, doesn't need a cooling flush?
Do they serve glossy finish white sanremo cube? Or is it matte? It doesn’t rly specify and is it easy to clean for long term use?
8:01 what about adjust/calibration the pump pressure? it's possible?
11:12 what is the optimal/maximum water pressure from main line? (bar)

waht the price??
Currently it is $4,599 AUD at Dipacci
finally Somebody Answer me thank you so much 🌸
I prefer older stainless steel tanks that weigh a ton!
The temper was a little bit under size, so the extraction was soso
สวยครับ
This machine is ridiculously priced for a HX machine.

Style over substance.
Really dislike this design. Very ugly imo, whereas the You looks a work of art!
An overpriced, design faulty machine. No roto pump, no dual boiler, but it costs the same Rocket R58. Interesting idea...
It is a rotary pump machine. Apart from that I agree that it has a few design faults and is overpriced.
