With that start, I was legit expecting just a 30 minute video of you just AFK in the tutorial
I was considering it, but ultimately I'd have to upload an actual HotS video at some point for the trilogy so I decided to scrap it :(

Technicly, overlords increase CONTROL, not supply, so according to the title it could be a regular playthrough of HoTS

7:35 for my own more casual playthroughs i highly enjoyed going to char first, as making infinite banelings with Niadra is just hilarious
There are definitely benefits for Char first, but the difficulty is just so much higher than Kaldir that in any challenge run scenario you almost always just default to that one.

My favorite part is when that corpser said "it's corpsin time" and corpsed all over those guys.
This is a challenge run whose challenge isn't actually possible in every situation, and when it is, it's not as challenging as it should be. I don't think there's a greater tragedy when it comes to challenge runs than that.
I *WOULD* have watched all 3 of these the day that the first one came out but I actually have to be rather structured in watching through stuff to have enough time to get through it all. Besides, it's good to savor that A1 content.

Tbh the Zerg in SC2 aren't a great faction to base the campaign around if you're looking for challenges because of how they were designed within it. It feels like they tried to go the way of Age of Mythology with a fun and cool spectacle taking precedent over balance, but they forgot to make the enemy stronger for it in the way that matters the most: Giving them their own dumb crap that ultimately balances the scales overall.

@@user-su4kx1oo7l some no build missions are too difficult without kerrigan. other than that, someone did hots without kerrigan.

I'm wondering if in The Crucible you could push to the map edges and spawn camp with crawlers, then focus your army on the bottom entrance?
Theoretically if I could take the second hatchery, sure. However spawn camping demands that you need a ton of crawlers on both sides to tank damage and finish off enemies for Corpsers to spawn in waves, and drones on standby to constantly morph in more and more crawlers whenever needed. Without that added economy it's just not doable.

The HOTS options really is bullshit broken huh, holy crap. No wonder it's famously the easiest campaign.

Iirc isn't LotV the campaign with he most brutal enemies? I don't remember if it's the hardest one since you do get access to ridiculous shit like timestop, but in terms of enemies and general difficulty LotV was the highest.
WOL is the hardest overall, but there are a few missions in LOTV that are harder than missions in WOL. Most missions are easier though. Spear of Adun is completely busted
@@Ghi102 yeah I remember it's by far the hardest if you don't use adun for it, you notice how strong adun is and how insane the enemies in LotV are when you fight it without any active abilities lmao. Overall you can bypass bullshit missions of any kind with just a single timestop though. That ability is hilariously funny.

Here's what makes heart of the swarm brutal different from hard
You Take hard difficulty. Now add on a +25% damage taken modifier and buff tanks.
That's pretty much it
Heart of the Swarm is the easiest campaign of all the time, even on Brutal
HotS Brutal is honestly comparable to WoL Hard and even Normal at times.
Unless you add challenge elements to it, like say, only zerglings?

If you want to replicate it at home, try zooming your camera off and on Spine Crawlers while they're attacking. If you time it right they go fucking flying, it's incredible.

I mean, for the last few missions it's essentially the same challenge. For the first few, nah. Not even half of the missions are possible.
Key thing to note as always with that comparison, Brutal is an entirely different ball game when compared to Normal or even Hard.

I never understood why wild mutation is so underrated, I always seen it dicussed as the worst of the three but the synergy with raptorling is just crazy. Like, do I want to mend my ultralisk, or do I want to transform my pack of zergling into honorary ultralisk? I tend to prefer the latter =p
I mean Spawn Banelings has a very good chance of just instantly deleting the enemy force.
and Mend for 150 on a short ass cooldown allows her to just walk through most armies.
@@nacl4988 I feel like it's more a case of "kerrigan is so op that you don't *need* to do more than spamming mend and walking her through the ennemy forces" rather than it being much better.

Actually for Zerg, it is called Control.
Terran = Supply
Zerg = Control
Protoss = Psi
I mean this in the nicest way possible, I don't think I've heard a single human being ever fucking say "Oh damn it, that drop killed my pylons and now I'm Psi blocked!!" or "Well this roach army comp is really effective at flooding the map, but you really quickly reach 200 control".

@@maltardraco9555 I'm selecting more than 12 units at a time so I don't think that's all too relevant here.
@@maltardraco9555 Starcraft 2 didn't keep this distinction. In SC1, the three different supply types were literally different supply counters, and maps where you controlled more than one race required you to track each separately. In SC2 it's all mixed into one pool, which is called "Supply" in game, even if it has other names in lore.
@@Kerostasis So building a supply depot means I can control more zerg in 2 but not 1?
Just saying if getting the second hatch on shoot the messenger ruins the run because the game gives you a two more supply then this run is over from the start cause the game gives you 200 once the second fase starts.
You could argue that one can be avoided but it's the same premise. The game gave you something in the level

why do you kill the workers just order them to morph and start making the mutas then cancel the mirphing no??
Problem is that requires minerals. In order to do the pure greed strat not only do we have to have a TON of minerals saved up, but we also are entirely unable to rebuild mutas until the supply evens out to where it used to be, which is terrible.
