If I remember correctly, Game Theory made a video on Sans and Papyrus discussing their connection to Gaster. In the video, he talks about how Sans and Papyrus are two halves of Gaster’s brain, Sans being the left side and Papyrus being the right side. Sans is the left-side of Gaster’s brain, and he’s left-handed. Papyrus is the right side of Gaster’s brain, so it would make sense for him to be right handed. Just a random thing I noticed.

I don’t know about the blood but I think sans has determination, which is why he can run away (like you and flowey, who both have determination). Also, the blue/yellow eye thing is likely determination. Blue is patience, like waiting for you to quit (and his laziness symbolically?), and yellow is justice, which is self explanatory. Also maybe it’s because he is Ness (long story, it’s explained by Game Theory.)

He made her smile for the first time in a long time, and she is one of his only sources of happiness outside of Papyrus and they evidently care fore each other. Reading the comments here got me thinking... someone said “if Sans can teleport, why doesn’t he just teleport to the surface?” Which is a very good question. Although I think two answers are possible. 1. Maybe he can only move around the underground because of how deep they actually are. Maybe he has a space limit in terms of up and down. 2. He COULD teleport through the hole in the ruins. But, of course he doesn’t have access. But Toriel does. Why wouldn’t she, oh I dunno, work on a rope to climb out? Hell wouldn’t the monsters have tried that many times? Surely they’d know about the hole. At least Toriel, and even Asgore. Because of Chara. But like, something obviously is holding them back from doing it. I think it’s because the barrier isn’t just like a door. That it circles around the enter underground, including maybe cutting off their ability to go out through the hole. Since anything can come in, but can never leave unless the barrier breaks. Sans was once a human, like you theorized, but not just any human, one who knew Chara personally, but was killed, explaining Chara's depression, multiple suicide attempts, and hatred toward humans. I always thought that Sans was so "powerful" because he (literally) uses karma. He's actually the *weakest* enemy in the game. When you fight him at the end of the genocide run, you can see "KR" to the right of the player's HP bar, which stands for karma. When you check him his defence and attack are both 1, and the game calls him the weakest enemy in Undertale. He's so "powerful" because he uses karma, which allows him to attack at 50 (exaggeration) times per second. Because he simply uses karma, I believe that if you were to for some reason fight him in the true pacifist run, he wouldn't be able to do any harm to you, because your good in the true pacifist that would go around would come back to you when you fight Sans. (As for fighting the lost sould Sans in the true pacifist run, San's isn't using karma, so all the attacks are coming from Papyrus).

I sent you a message on youtube about my theory of Sans and Papyrus that makes a lot of sense. Besides, sans and Papyrus doesn't have a mother. Let me just say that I think Sans and Papyrus is an experiment as another plan to escape after asriel died as one more hope to escape quicker so I think W.D. Gaster used his DNA and extract a little bit of each of the human soul and combine them with his DNA before he got separated into the universe but the plan technically backfired or something like that when they split and I think Sans is the older brother because he is smaller and envolved quicker than papyrus and probably during the creation of them is probably when W.D. Gaster fallen into his creation. Watch handplates and I bet some of that is true but the abuse part was probably not. They were trying to probably make home made creation monsters that couldn't melt if you catch my drift.

I don’t know about the blood but I think sans has determination, which is why he can run away (like you and flowey, who both have determination). Also, the blue/yellow eye thing is likely determination. Blue is patience, like waiting for you to quit (and his laziness symbolically?), and yellow is justice, which is self explanatory. Also maybe it’s because he is Ness (long story, it’s explained by Game Theory.)

I think people ship it because it seems like they really mean something to each other, at the time Toriel was probably really depressed and Sans is evidently depressed. He made her smile for the first time in a long time, and she is one of his only sources of happiness outside of Papyrus and they evidently care fore each other.

Reading the comments here got me thinking... someone said “if Sans can teleport, why doesn’t he just teleport to the surface?” Which is a very good question. Although I think two answers are possible. 1. Maybe he can only move around the underground because of how deep they actually are. Maybe he has a space limit in terms of up and down. 2. He COULD teleport through the hole in the ruins. But, of course he doesn’t have access. But Toriel does. Why wouldn’t she, oh I dunno, work on a rope to climb out? Hell wouldn’t the monsters have tried that many times? Surely they’d know about the hole. At least Toriel, and even Asgore. Because of Chara. But like, something obviously is holding them back from doing it. I think it’s because the barrier isn’t just like a door. That it circles around the enter underground, including maybe cutting off their ability to go out through the hole. Since anything can come in, but can never leave unless the barrier breaks. That’s just my little theory on that spectrum. :> have a nice day.

I have a theory. Sans was once a human, like you theorized, but not just any human, one who knew Chara personally, but was killed, explaining Chara's depression, multiple suicide attempts, and hatred toward humans. After all, if this were true, they would've had to watch sans die. That would have huge psychological effects on a ten-to-twelve year old.
I think a video in Mettaton would be quite cool, or maybe, with Napstablook and Mad Dummy, everything you didn't know about the ghosts 😁

I always thought that Sans was so "powerful" because he (literally) uses karma. He's actually the *weakest* enemy in the game. When you fight him at the end of the genocide run, you can see "KR" to the right of the player's HP bar, which stands for karma. When you check him his defence and attack are both 1, and the game calls him the weakest enemy in Undertale. He's so "powerful" because he uses karma, which allows him to attack at 50 (exaggeration) times per second. Because he simply uses karma, I believe that if you were to for some reason fight him in the true pacifist run, he wouldn't be able to do any harm to you, because your good in the true pacifist that would go around would come back to you when you fight Sans.
(As for fighting the lost sould Sans in the true pacifist run, San's isn't using karma, so all the attacks are coming from Papyrus).

I sent you a message on youtube about my theory of Sans and Papyrus that makes a lot of sense. Besides, sans and Papyrus doesn't have a mother. Let me just say that I think Sans and Papyrus is an experiment as another plan to escape after asriel died as one more hope to escape quicker so I think W.D. Gaster used his DNA and extract a little bit of each of the human soul and combine them with his DNA before he got separated into the universe but the plan technically backfired or something like that when they split and I think Sans is the older brother because he is smaller and envolved quicker than papyrus and probably during the creation of them is probably when W.D. Gaster fallen into his creation. Watch handplates and I bet some of that is true but the abuse part was probably not. They were trying to probably make home made creation monsters that couldn't melt if you catch my drift.
