5:18 fun fact is women make more money and work the corporate and customer service jobs in SE Asia. The men do the blue collar work because it’s harder for men to get white collar jobs.
My city loosened open liquor laws considerably. Half of the city now it’s completely legal to hangout outside and drink walking down Main Street. It’s been that way for nearly a decade now and I haven’t noticed any changes in the level of crime or public drunkenness. We are one of only a few countries that allow drinking that have banned doing it in public places.
The tuition argument isn't valid. The in state and out of state price is technically the same. The in state student is just subsidized by tax dollars. Thats why it generally happens at state run universities.
The motorcycle thing happens here in Colombia, in some cities. Interesting city laws. For example in Cali it is illegal for 2 men to be on the same motorcycle. My kids joke that I am an alcoholic now because I have a glass of wine almost daily, well at least on the day's I go out to eat. It's such a part of the culture to drink alcohol with meals. Some things I can get at the pharmacy without a prescription, but what is different then the States is that OTC medications are only sold at pharmacies. Not regular stores. Some museums do it here and National Parks etcetera. Honestly, it doesn't really bother me because the cost is not a huge difference and it an offset for what a local pays in taxes that go towards the managing of these parks and museums. The most common type of dog raised for meat is a non-specific landrace, often called a Nureongi or Hwangu, Nureongi being the only one by breed legally farmed and slaughtered. Kangaroo and Ostrich are legal in the States and both are delicious.
if you can kill it you can eat it . . on a side note when ther is no food and you are starving you will eat the family pet and if there is no pet .... do the math
Found out that discipline is huge around the world. I watched an Okinawa man slap his wife for speaking out of turn. I was about to say something when my friend, who was also Okinawan, said to back off. Just as I watched another American get arrested for trying the same. He interjected and was promptly put in handcuffs by the JPs. He laid hands on the man and was hauled off, where the man and his wife just went about their business. Crazy
Becarefull of the restaurants they have 2 price lists one to order off and when you go to pay they pull out another one with higher prices, take pictures of the menu , you will thank me later
I mean, I don't care if they are charging me more as long as it isn't super expensive. When I was in the Philippines, by myself a pizza would cost $5. With my wife it was like 75 cents. So I was fine with it. However the taxi though, it was $50, until my wife noticed and they guy gave me the regular price of $2. So in that case, I did care about such a massive charge.
Idk why you mentioned Pakistan as an exception cuz we literally have the same setup here as well. Walk into the pharmacy, tell the pharmacist what medicine you need and pay the money. The only exceptions are medicine for serious diseases (Alzheimer's & Cancer meds) or medicine containing illicit substances like methamphetamines. You need a doctor's prescription for those kinds of drugs.
Pity the guy wasn't in Danang, it is much better for us americans. it;s a lot like Miami Beach in the 50's w the music and attitudes from the 1960's and 7o's
As a lifelong traveler myself, I am so curious how you afford to travel and why you have traveled so much? I think you once said you have hundreds of visa stamps.
Going by the things he says, he makes ALOT of money as a photographer (amongst other things) and is smart with his money. So he can travel alot easily.
Historically, the eating of cats is almost exclusive to no other options, as well as the eating of animals whose primary diet is the flesh of cadavers i.e. coyotes, and other scavenger animals. Animals that eat "death" have been said to taste like "death".
Love from Ho Chi Minh City. I'm a foreigner living as a local, getting treated like a local. I've never been charged more than any local. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Yes, some of it might be true, others though merely myths...posted for views and likes.
13:40 MrLboyd, thank you for pointing out a big reason I don't feel the need to visit other places and cultures. There are hundreds of different cultures right here in the US. There's beauty everywhere you go, (cities excluded). I've been to more than the three surrounding states, as you say. I've been to Canada. But there is so much more to see right here. Anyone who has not been to the Grand Canyon at sundown, must go at least once in your life bc it's a spiritual experience, not just a destination.
The thought of eating dogs may be disgusting and outrageous to Americans but here’s a little fun fact that most Americans aren’t aware of, of the approximately 5000 scout and guard dogs that served heroically in The Vietnam war the United States did not bring back home A single war dog. they were abandoned, left behind to meet their cruel fate.
Not just to Americans.... its gross. Dogs were bred to be companions. Not food. Too eat them is a betrayal of thousands of years of cooperation and trust.
@@FroggyHopScotch30 I was under the impression that it started with the commie famines. Asians bred out several amazing dog breeds, such as the Chow and Akita. And Shiba. So they, at one point, understood the difference between friend and food.
I love your content. Hope you consider using less of the screen for self promotion. I’ll normally think twice about watching videos where the actual content is so small.
I was on Okinawa in 1975-76, and went out for drinks with fellow marines. Was hungry and seen what looked like a chicken leg in shop. Ate it. At work next day, everyone was barking at me. Seems disgusting here in our country but overseas anything goes. It’s a culture shock.
Same here when it comes to exotic foods. Over the years, I've consumed snake, gator, turtle, buffalo, deer, shark, moose, horse, elk, bear and staggering number of other creatures, including just about every bird and fish available, but I admit, eating dog is still something I wouldn't willingly consider edible.
Pigs and cows were bred as livestock. Dogs were bred as companions. It's not the same thing. Of course, if you're from a culture that failed at domestication, you might not be able to appreciate the difference.
Hunting tags are sold at resident and non-resident prices
That "delicious" is crazy 😂
It’s good and honest lol

Thank God your contact is not always bad news 1000th ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Regarding double pricing, we have that here, too, in Thailand. It's not as common or blatant anymore, but it still exists.
We have it on London too, especially on market stalls
What's with all these foreigners in the comments?
I need to go there.. I need the anxiety meds without all this money for doctors!!!❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes, Roo meat is available to consume here in the US.
14:40 I had horse in Kyoto...and mystery bbq on a stick in South Korea. A lot of questionable stuff indeed

You can eat Kangraoo in the US. i've had a kangaroo steak before - it was ok, nothing crazy, just a little tough.
In some US Territories, having a beer out in the open isn't a big deal.
Why did I care about that🤔🤔🤔 I don't know why you cared about that 😁 Classic! 😁😁
You've been to Antarctica? I would love to have been to all continents! I only need Antarctica to fulfill that goal.
The tuition argument isn't valid. The in state and out of state price is technically the same. The in state student is just subsidized by tax dollars. Thats why it generally happens at state run universities.
Out of state tuition is not the same, as it affects Americans who leave their state, too.

Don’t think your kids are joking bud. And if they are they aren’t far from the truth you are An alcoholic if you drink every day.
They’re eating the dogs…They’re eating the cats.
Tastes like chicken!
1:44 not only in Vietnam. This happens is South Africa too. Maybe in most of Africa too
Also healthcare has many different prices. That's why I don't carry health coverage. I'm allowed to shop around 😂😂
I wouldn't eat something that I didn't know what it was! We can live on a vegetarian diet . ❤
We know MrLboyd's been to one of those spas without a license.

I rather eat dog meat than some of the most expensive foods fish eggs, snails, coffee pooped out by an animal, monkey brains, human meat.
You are 100% right go see the world and then come back to the US. You’re right.
My wifes hair cut in the US is only $22.
9:27 dawg, why'd you lick your lips ?

Mr LBoyd is a professional photographer, that's one of the reasons he's traveled so much, I believe

not a “fun” fact by any stretch of the imagination
People spend thousands on and eat snails, fish eggs, monkey brains, coffee that been pooped out by an animal(most expensive coffee), human meat.
@@radagast7200in East Asia theyve been munching bark barks for centuries💯☝🏿

Many tourist attractions or museums offer local discounts. Most things in Vegas some fairly surprising.

Pigs and cows are cute too and shouldn't be eaten if you can choose otherwise.

I had a trip to Vietnam and had dog meat for my birthday. I LOVED IT! It tastes like pork.
