My backpack can hold a change of clothes and toiletries because I'm in Atlanta and my luggage is in the land of the Lost. Hello everyone. I’m a little embarrassed to ask for help but I’m at a loss. As I near the age of 40 I’ve been trying to change my wardrobe to more age appropriate clothing, while also trying to remain fashionable. So far, I’ve switched to plain t-shirts (blue, navy, crimson, black) with dark denim jeans. I have a space grey Apple Watch with black leather band and a gold chain that I wear daily. I’ve also started wearing baseball caps since my hair is thinning and I’m not yet ready to shave my head. While fall/autumn right around the corner it occurred to me that I’m going to have to add more items to my wardrobe but I have no idea where to start. I want to continue wearing my baseball caps though. I have two Mets hats, a black one and the traditional royal blue with orange logo. I also have a black leather motorcycle jacket for colder weather. Can anyone recommend clothing items that I can buy/wear that would go well with baseball caps? Any recommendations are welcome. Footwear, outerwear, shirts, pants, etc. I’m open to answering any questions if that would help. Also, seeing as how I don’t really go out anywhere unless I’m doing something with my family, I’d primarily be wearing these items for casual, everyday purposes. Running errands, work, traveling, etc. Thank you ahead of time.
Bomber jackets go well with baseball caps. You might try pairing your hats with tracksuits or joggers and hoodies that go with your hat colors. Because baseball caps are casual, it's easy to pair them with things. You might try a trucker jacket in denim, corduroy, suede or the like. They make trucker jackets with sherpa collars and lining for the cold months. Basically, if you get the fit of your clothing and match the colors well, you'll be fine. I shave my head, by the way. I understand your not wanting to do it yet though.
By the way, I would avoid too ostentatious tracksuits. Footwear-wise, a white sneaker and a darker sneaker are the safe options for casual wear. Try to find sneakers that look sharp enough to be for something other than purely athletic endeavors. I wear minimalist footwear to avoid bunions and keep my feet strong, but that's something you have to ease into.

The sole reason I changed up my wardrobe is because I didn’t want to dress like a 20 year old anymore and I wanted to dress age appropriate. I’ve purchased, and have been wearing, polo shirts from Banana Republic (they had a great sale), dark wash jeans, black jeans, khaki and charcoal grey chino pants, all black Nike sneakers and all white Adidas Stan Smiths. I still wear my black Mets baseball cap and I have a navy bomber jacket that I’ve been wearing in the cooler days. I only wear my leather jacket when it’s really cold because that jacket is super heavy. I also purchased a v-neck Marino wool sweater. Some of your other suggestions, such as corduroy pants, I have definitely had my eye on for the winter weather. I’ve never worn them but I hear they’re quite warm. I enjoy button up shirts but I’ve been having a hard time finding ones with printed designs that I like.
@@Angelus13AOV Well, it sounds like you have some good options. I don't think you need many suggestions. V-neck sweaters pair well with button-down shirts. And you can wear an Ivy cap if you feel a baseball hat is too casual.
