- After the setup, the Driver had a LEFT on but the Trailer was going a little LATE into the Alley. Driver fixed this with a short Pull-Up ( reposition the trailer) Trailer enter the alley on time but did one more pull-up to line up with the DOCK for unloading.
'Driving the trailer' I like that. A pull up should never be more than a full tire rotation. Rookies should always Spray paint a line on the rear front trailer tire so they know when it goes in and out of pivot
Another good video. I was doing this today again for my training and it wasn't until the instructor got out of the truck and just observed me from the ground that I started to do better on it. I was like the driver in your video. A couple of pull ups and I had it. I needed to have the pressure of someone in the passenger seat removed from the equation.
You are so right!
Wish you would have showed the set up
Check the many videos on my channel. The setup is the same for reverse offset - parallel parking ect.
After your setup, you backup and control the rear of your trailer. Keeping it on time.
Your CDL instructor will help you with the setup.
