For an 87yr old man, he's in great shape! What can amazing man! Just think of the stories he could tell!
Bob should have a "Gold Pass" onto every Disney property. Besides the Mouse - he's the best ambassador they have.

In 1961, when I was a young boy; my mom, dad, and I met Walt Disney when we went to Disneyland for a day. I barely remember this and it wasn't a big deal at the time. As a matter of fact it had faded from my memory and it wasn't until I was in my forties that my dad brought this up about a year before he died while we were sitting around talking about the "good old days". We were taliking about the vacations we took when I was growing up. My dad asked me, "Do you remember the time that we went to Disneyland and met Walt Disney"?

My wife and I did the "Keys to the Kingdom" Back Stage Tour (Behind the Scenes) at Magic Kingdom yesterday morning @ Walt Disney World here in Florida. We saw a lot of stuff envisioned and crafted by the imagineers. We heard the story of how the imagineers finished the task of creating Walt's dream after his death. Great Vlog Jordan! Beyond cool! JAH looks like he is smiling when Jordan asks if he want to go outside :)
When one is privileged to meet someone from early Disney, they feel the've touched the stars. There are so few left from when it all began. This is wonderful.
Great tour! Inside that Gelson's on Hyperion, there is a picture of the studio from the 30s on the south wall in the middle of the checkout stands. I take a shortcut through Imagineering every night coming home from work. That airstrip on Grand Central was used by Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart back in the day. There are 3 original hangers on the property. Two that I know of: one is located on Air Way that is now an Indo-European Import place and one is on Grandview by the railroad tracks.
I loved this! You captured a great day with a true legend.

A LEGEND. I've been an animator, model maker and themed element designer (including some projects for Disney) and it is because of guys like Bob that many of us went into the creative field. I love that guys like he and Rolly Crump have not only had long great lives but have done so much to share with fans. Walt is certainly proud of his boys.

When I was a teenager I spent one summer on San Quan Island off WA . I got to watch Walts grandchildren. What a fantastic home and all the awards for years on display. Never forgot that summer.

I'm from the UK but every time I've been out to LA I've always checked to see if it'll coincide with a Waltland tour because I'd love to go. Hopefully the next time!! As always, another superb video! Wonderful history, really great insights into the mind of Walt Disney as well. I liked how Bob said that Walt knew whoever he charged with doing something would get it done despite that person thinking they couldn't. Walt only wanted the best and Bob was one of his best plums. Bob is 87 years old and has great energy. One can see how he was a "can do" kind of guy.

Thanks for this amazing vlog Jordan. Jah looked so cute & sweet waking up. The Bob Gurr tour was a real treat. I still remember walking past.the Mulholland fountain to take my tennis lessons at Griffith Park and swimming lessons at the pool. I also rode the merry go round at Griffith Park as a child never knowing that that’s where Walt Disney got the inspiration of Disneyland and the carousel seeing his daughters riding that same carousel I used to ride in. Now I can see the Disney headquarters seven dwarfs from my backyard after seeing Disneyland open for the first time in 1955 when I was just a toddler. Thanks for making my life come full circle with this vlog in 2022. ❤️🙏🏻🐕🦺🌴🌈✨

Wow! Awesome tour! So many familiar places! Living history! Great tour guide! We had access to a terrific library at Disney World. I read about Ub Iwerks. His granddaughter wrote a fascinating book about his work with Walt. I worked at the front desk of the Grand Floridian Resort. I miss it!😥

My younger brother wanted to be an Imagineer sooo bad, he applied several times, but ended up being a fiber optic engineer, but to this day still wonders what it would have been like to have worked for Disney. Everyone once in there life needs to be part of building a house. At least a cabin or cottage. You’ll never forget it. I spent two years building a house with a friend (his house) one and done. Never have again. But it makes you realize it’s more time than it is hard labor. Just to know that you can create shelter makes you feel human.
