they should work on a model with other materials like aluminum or other heavier materials than the plastic which needs a different type of production line and so on

Can you use keyboard and mouse at the same time? I bought a different keyboard case and when you use the keyboard it locks out the trackpad.
No, the keyboard and the trackpad cannot be used at the same time. When you press a key, the trackpad will be disabled automatically.

No, the keyboard cannot be used in that way. If you want a tab mode, then you need to take the tablet off the keyboard. :-)
