I just saw Moana a few days ago and have been replaying this song lol, so this was timed oddly well.
Also, my reaction to the ending credits of this video were just screams of "NO. NOOOOO. NO." so thank you for reminding me of that awful exercise LOL

Not American either lol, I'm Dutch but we had something similair. It's a test in PE where you have to run up and down a certain distance, we did it inside. You get to hear this CD with a voice that announces when to start and you hear a beep. After every beep you have to run to the other side, then wait there for the next beep and run back and this goes on for a while, becoming faster and faster. The voice also announces how far you are (as you heard by the numbers). Now I always kinda hated PE as someone who is very weak lol, but this test was the absolute worst. It was so bloody tiring and yes, it was for grade. I hate this test with a passion lol.
Also it might be a bit different in America (and other countries, since I'm pretty sure they have it to), but from what I heard it's still the same annoying voice/beep/running thing. (we even had this annoying music. *shudders* ) :P

My school called it the Grand Pacer Test.... and I'm American btw.
It was far from grand, it was for a grade, and there were even ones for curl-ups and push-ups too that we had to do the same day as the pacer test. What really made it horrible was the staying in the healthy fitness zone requirement.
