Judith Light and Tony Danza are phenomenal. They don't get enough credit for making Angela and Tony icons among the greatest pairings in sitcom coupledom.
@Mac Tex flex capacitor that’s awesome! I feel like we’re family!!! Lol. I watched moooooost of the shows you mentioned at some point…. Lol. I was born in 77 and I’m still stuck of shoes like carol burnet/ all in the family/the Jefferson’s/Taxi/Solid Gold…. Lol. What a wonderful experience many of us have been gifted…. I don’t watch any shows now….If I catch a show I find it’s been off air for years…. Lol. Happy Everything 🙌
Loved the kiss! I know there was a tremendous attraction between them which had previously been "held at bay" by their professional relationship and mutual respect...and that it was just a matter of time before they had to take the next step, but what particularly was there about that moment that propelled it forward? Well, the only explanation has to be that, while it was OBVIOUS that they'd been dancing around their true feelings for SUCH a long time - Tony, being a little "alcohol uninhibited", when he found himself in such "close proximity" to his crush; just couldn't resist...it was ABOUT TIME! SHEEEESH!
@@PrettyJuls i saw it and in the 90 minute finale Tony came to Angela's door as a well dressed man looking for job and in the last episode he was in a tuxedo and they kissed welcome back

One of my first tv crushes….Tony Danza….amazingly talented and Judith Light, Alyssa Milano, Danny Pintauro, Katherine Helmond…..I grew up watching all this
The producers didn't want that to happen in the last show because they felt the audience wouldn't watch the re-runs if they knew they were going to be married in the final episode. That's why they broke them off, but "restarted" the series with Tony coming back to the house and asking Angela for his job back.
@@edwardcricchio6106 big deal , so what if they got married , I hate when shows like that end that way , now take the Nanny 5th season she married Mr, Sheffield & then she gave birth to twins in the series finale, & also Niles & CC got married but I hated that they all moved to California
@@bigwillietheb I agree with you 100%. The producers were being foolish. People would have watched the re-runs if they had ended the series with what would have been a natural conclusion. Tony and Angela married. As for the Nanny, there are some people who will say they didn't like the series after they married, but again, that was the natural conclusion. They were destined to get married.
He says later on that Angela kissed him, when you can clearly see that they kissed each other. You could feel it in that kiss thst they both wanted that kiss though out the whole season. Though out the first season even when they were just "Employer and Employee" they had a serious attraction towards each other and this kiss just totally released those feelings
You're right, you can clearly see that they both kissed each other, the both came together at the same time and you could tell they both wanted it to happen.
I was a fan of the 90's show "Wings". There was a scene with Joe and Helen like this that ended in a kiss. Loved that show... they ended up together as well.
This show appealed to a much wider audience than The Nanny. Yes, The Nanny carried for just as long or longer, but that's just because it was on CBS which always keeps shows years past their "sell by date".

"I feel faint". Well I feel OLD. This was season 1. That means I was like 10(maybe 11) when this was on for the first time. Judith Light was 35 when this was first broadcast, and Tony Danza was just 33. I'm now 47. Of course it was re-aired on reruns for many years, and that's what I could be actually remembering. I'm still surely older than either one of them in real life by a lot when I remember seeing this,
The writers took too long to get them together.... I think... They should have lot more moments like that and into a relationship. I love every moment of there show. And was really rooting for then together at the Anniversary Show, when it was just the 2 of them, and sent to hospital for appendix. I was hoping they continue like pick up where they left off.
You're right they've did but Tony and Angela had to be friends first in order for that to happen but they did kissed again. Friends don't kiss unless you are a couple. Or married.
This show revolved around the sexual tension between Angela and Tony...they couldn't keep the audience interested based on only that indefinitely. They HAD to step it up. I must admit I liked the show, but it had to end eventually. Writing them as married, though that would be a draw temporarily, would have killed the tension - and the show. Regardless, Judith Light was a SHEER DELIGHT! Tony Danza was also phenomenal...its sad that we all become old...but it was GREAT while it lasted. It's also sad that Milano grew up to become such a LEFTIST FREAK!
Judith Light and Tony Danza are phenomenal. They don't get enough credit for making Angela and Tony icons among the greatest pairings in sitcom coupledom.
I agree 100%
One of the best pairings ever, they had fantastic chemistry together.
I loved these two! So much fun chemistry. They don’t make them like this anymore
I loved this series as a kid. Never missed one episode. Their attraction for each other😍
As a kid I just watched it. But as a 45 yr old I can appreciate the humor alot more now lol.
Same here.
There is innocence in this show that is very hard to replicate. Always makes you feel good. Even years later in much more cynical age.
Well said.
EXACTLY!!!!!
Agreed,,,
It's called proper culture. Deviate away from that and you get trashy shows that's being produced now.
That was a time when people in their thirties and even sixties were still innocent.
Angela: I feel faint!
Tony: Yeaaah?
Tony with the proud player response! 🤣🤣 💯
What?!
@@GoLakers3900 what u mean what??!!
Such a beautiful show! The chemistry between them is amazing!
The 80s were wholesome AF.
Decades later I still can’t look at Tony Danza without blushing and smiling like a fool. Still got it!!
Same! He had a show with josh groban on Netflix it was pretty good! Still got it lol
Michelle, That kiss took my socks off
this show still make me laugh so much and puts a big smile in my face
I've been watching the reruns since October, & that show will NEVER get old!!
I love it that men like sweet shows with nice sentiments like this one.

Man of a thousand faces ...his expressive face is very unique ! Angela's not bad either !! :)
I watched this show when it first came out and I'm loving it all over again. These two were SO good together.
35 years later that kiss was and still is HOT
Lord, has it been 35 yrs already??
He is such a hunk! Didn't notice it when I was younger. But now, WOW.

What a great job Judith Light (Angela) had. Wow. Lucky Girl …

Hi Becky
What a great sitcom they don't make that any more
Still watch the reruns . They need to come back. After 35 years and reunited a new show
This is a gem! I would also love to see a 5 minute clip from 504 Yankee Doodle Micelli. It is episode #100, ya know. Thanks for your channel!

Best tv series ever
They're so hot for each other.
There was real chemistry there.

The best TV shows growing up with!!
they should have let Tony & Angela get married
Danza was the one who said nah because it would defeat the purpose of the shows name

They could have just changed the title, started a ‘new’ show with the same characters in their new life.
Ohh. Yeh the hesitation between them like we should do not do this. But then they went for it open mouth.
