Thanks for the sample contract. Very helpful video, yet not 20 min long. Perfect. I'm a designer that does my own archviz, and I'm talked to someone I met on a discord channel about helping me. He said he has no idea what to charge, since he only has done archviz work for the construction company he works for. Btw, your portfolio on your website is inspiring!

Thank you very much. Easy and concise info. I have struggled with clients giving unclear briefing or not answering my questions properly. Integrating all that into the contract makes a lot more sense.

Please download the free contract template, modify it, add your own items to it add graphics, make it look super cool and go get those clients! Good luck 😎

    Nice one Fabio, thanks!
However, I've had to chase a client for almost a year to get paid for a project, with them delaying it with nothing but excuses month after month. The cost of legally claiming it would have been not worth it so that left me completely powerless even though there was a contract.
I didn't ask for an upfront deposit, that was my fault (even worse, it was through a good friend so I was confident there would be no issues), but sadly in my experience no contract will protect you against non-paying clients when you're a small fish.

Contracts are hard to enforce, but they are a good way to make sure everyone is on the same page. Use your gut and after that, a 50% deposit ( a must). If you feel the client is acting jenky, proceed with caution. Architect have been bad for me over the years, with many trying to run away with 90% completed images without paying their bill. I have had several push for updates, saying the final check is in the mail, and the check never arrives.

Fabio, what do you think of assembling packages that allow clients to basically assemble their own menu and extended price? Or do you put a plain flat rate on everything for everyone and go full detail at all cost? Trying to put together something sensible, but some people are completely overwhelmed with more than 3 lines of text 😅
